Lucien
Name: Lucien
Alias: The Fallen Hunter.
Type and wing colour: Dark Battle
Age: Apparent - 22; actual - he was alive in the beginning of the Great War.
Social status: Most angels would consider him Fallen.
Relations: None.
Duty: Up until recently, he has been sealed in onyx.
Personality: Lucien is blunt, sarcastic, and generally an asshole. That tends to happen when you've been sealed in onyx for centuries. That being said, he is merciful and loyal to those he throws his lot in with. The fact that it might be better if they like him doesn't come into play. Demons are his true hate. This is even despite the fact that he was alive (in this form) during the times of peace between the two, and a greater understanding and a decided lack of brainwashing was present.
Biography: Much of Lucien's history is known to only a few besides the Archangels. What they do tell about his history holds him up as the pinnacle of falling. Fight the darkness for to long and you become the darkness, things such as that. They tell them that he was once a great warrior. Fought to the last in the battle that destroyed Heaven's gate and turned Heaven into a ruin. He fell into the darkness when they went to the Surface. There, he continued to wage his war against the demons. Embroiled by hate, he continued on his warpath. The Archangels let him, seeing as he wasn't doing anything that would damage the humans and was helping win the war for them.
That all changed when he leveled an entire city when battling a demon. The demon was killed, but Lucien was brought before the Council for his crimes. Rather than showing repentance for his actions, he showed defiance. The Archangels were all for making him Fallen then and there. But a Clairvoyant had a vision. He would be needed later. Something on the level of, or close to, the Great War would come about, and they would need his strength. So, with Lucien cursing them, they sealed him in onyx, to forever await the time where his powers would be needed.

Hazumi
Theme Song
Name: Hazumi
Alias: Motherslayer
Type and wing colour: Dark Battle
Age: 24
Social status: Avoided and looked down upon.
Relations: None.
Duty: Exterminates demons on the streets of the city.
Alias: Motherslayer
Type and wing colour: Dark Battle
Age: 24
Social status: Avoided and looked down upon.
Relations: None.
Duty: Exterminates demons on the streets of the city.
Appearance: Hazumi has a slender build of 110 pounds and is slightly taller than most girls her age with her 5 feet 8 inches. Her hair is a deep dark mahogany colour and flows in soft waves down her back. Despite her best efforts to keep it well-groomed and silky it is often seen in slight disarray due to her never tying it up during her patrols.Amongst the strands of loose hair one couldn’t fail to notice the bright golden eyes that pin themselves right to you and follow your every move. Much like a cat’s they observe everything with keen alertness, never blinking and never betraying what’s beneath. Another thing one can’t fail to notice is the big claw-like scar that covers most of the left side of her neck. While already fully healed the white scar tissue still tells the story of almost inevitable death and despite not hiding it, Hazumi still seems to dislike people staring at it.
When it comes to clothes, Hazumi is still wearing the clothes her late mother had in her closet. Whether this is because of some sentimental reasons or purely out of practicality, it probably doesn’t have much to do with personal taste. This becomes obvious when she puts on something that seems more suitable for a bar than a butcher’s job, but Hazumi doesn’t seem to know any better. She tries her best to make them fit and look good but sometimes ends up screwing up and looking rather amusing. She would mostly wear a single set of clothes until it finally rips or gets stained beyond help.
Still, the clothes she likes best are shorts and some sort of shirt, preferably one with an uncovered back so as to not restrict her wings in any way. One thing she doesn’t really seem to care about are shoes and she’s never seen wearing anything other than flip-flops or sandals, and even then she often forgets them somewhere high above the ground as she prefers to fight bare-foot.

Of course, when describing an angel we can’t go without mentioning their wings. Hazumi’s wings are medium-sized, spreading out to about 8 feet. Their colour appears to be jet-black at night but unlike other dark angels’ ones it’s not dull. Given a light-source they’d reveal their real majesty and glisten softly with a beautiful hue ranging from deep blue
to vivid green.
to vivid green.
Personality: Hazumi is all about duty and loyalty. She trusts the Council with all her heart and is incredibly devote to her mission as an exterminator. In her everyday life her character doesn’t really matter as all her interactions lead to death. If asked what she’s like she would find it incredibly hard to answer because she tries her best to be a tool and nothing more, disconnecting herself from her own feelings or thought, which she at first seems to not have at all. She tries her best to avoid unfamiliar situations and those that require her to talk but won’t back down on doing so if her duty requires it. She cares about justice a lot and often considers herself a good enough judge to pass a verdict of life or death; however be the situation more complicated she would have to spend some time ‘researching’ before she can decide what to make of it.
Biography: Hazumi was born to the fallen angel Kristine and with that most of her fate was sealed. Being a dark angel, she was denied all the privileges pure or even grey angels had – social status, trust, acceptance, and most of all – education. She was never included in the big educational classes most angels attended in order to learn about the humans, demons and the angels. In the rare cases when she got to visit the Council building she was bestowed with looks full of distrust and even disgust. All the Council required was for her to leave one of her feathers in the Book of Fate so they could keep track of her deeds, and she was pretty sure no one cared enough to do even that.
At first Hazumi didn’t think much of that treatment as her mother was doing her best to teach her everything about all kinds of demons, even the ones in Hell. Her mother cared for her and her education and gave her a purpose – being powerless herself it was up to Hazumi to protect her from any of the countless demons that targeted her daily. That’s how the little dark angel started fighting – much earlier than her pure counterparts – and she became undefeatable and ruthless. She didn’t care who had to die for her mother to live.
At that stage her life wasn’t yet hollow and lonely. She had found friends – a protected family of vampires with two sons her age. She loved them almost as much as she loved her mother.
… and they were her only salvation when Hazumi had to make the toughest decision in her life. When she realized her mother was actually a monster… and deserved to die.
After the deed was done it was the vampire brothers that she came to for comfort. But instead of that what she received was judgment herself. Her neck was ripped open and it’s a mystery how she survived what should have killed her. The huge claw-like scar that remains on her neck is said to be her mother's last deed and her curse. In fact it was her best friend, Jed, who was responsible for it.
Having to dispose of her mother was the toughest decision Hazumi ever had to make. Yet she’s certain she was right to do so, and she devoted her entire life to the Council after. It has probably been a decade now since she last had to do anything but kill and she’ll keep killing, convinced that she made all the right choices. She knows herself to be the strongest and most fierce Battle angel even if nobody would openly admit it and this is her only source of pride.
The only ones who know her whole story are the ones involved. To the vast majority she is just the Motherslayer, the ruthless monster ready to dispose of anyone and anything.
Abilities: To someone facing her in battle, Hazumi would easily appear to be immortal. She bleeds when her body is cut open and groans when her bones break but none of what anyone can inflict to her has ever proven enough to kill her. The reason for this is not because she cannot feel pain – she is simply able to turn her pain receptors off as she pleases. She always weighs the possibilities and decides whether to keep fighting is worth the risk to her own life. Everything about a fight is cold objective calculation and she is just as ready to jump in a one as she is to flee.
Because of that Hazumi doesn’t often engage in an open fight. She mostly uses ambushes, using the element of surprise to her advantage. Her raven-like wings are perfectly adapted for both aerial stunts and agility, making it incredibly easy for her to plunge down even the smallest alley. At the same time her outer feathers are aligned with soft fluff which swallow the sound of her approaching, making her almost undetectable to most senses. This fighting style is not adopted because she is a weak fighter or one who is afraid to show themselves to the opponent. It’s simply that this is the most efficient and fast method and whenever she’s sure the creature she faces deserves to die, she doesn’t hesitate to finish the job as fast as possible and move on to the next one.
But even the few who manage to avoid that initial attack won’t be spared. Hazumi is a swift fighter and she rarely negotiates. Her ability to utilize any part of her body makes her almost invincible and her battle wits always manage to achieve victory where brute force is not enough. While unable to heal herself, Hazumi is able to dull the pain to a bearable level, make her blood clot around her wounds and strengthen her skin until it becomes as tough as armor. The ways she uses her body seem to be boundless and defy any laws, allowing her to transform her nails to saber-like claws and even control the cells and droplets of her spilled blood.
Most angels assume that Hazumi is called a monster because of what she inflicted on her mother, yet if they saw her fight many would have to wonder if she really is an angel and not something else… Furthermore, the few wretches who have ever attempted to draw blood from her without her permission have met a horrible end. For Hazumi seems to bleed a much darker shade of red than even most demons…

*Taken by Aeris; she tries to capture proof that Cael does smile*
Caeldrin the Aurist
Theme One | Theme Two
Name: Caeldrin; also goes by Cael
Alias: the Aurist
Age: 21 (appearance); 210 (actual)
Type and Wing Color: Pure Hybrid Angel (battle & guardian)
Relations: Apprentice of Eldrin the Quietus and Liolna the Aegis
Successor (and 'brother') of guardian angel Rinyl the Bulwark
Guardian angel of Aeris Naera Kasio
Rival of Mairyell Kasio
Social Status: The apprentice of a battle angel and guardian angel who are both known for their centuries of success, and the unlucky angel known for being assigned the dreaded 'Kasio Anomaly.' Among his peers, Caeldrin is a wallflower and often keeps to himself and appears deep in thought. He is often treated with due respect, but at the same time, condescension motivated by political intrigue.
Appearance: Cael stands about 5 feet, 10 inches, and looks as though he weighs no more than 150 lbs. In fact, his wings (even when invisible) add an extra 10 lbs. each and they can stretch very fast to their maximum wing span of 6 feet. Cael seems to like business suits, but actually has no real sense of fashion. He is often seen carrying a briefcase (treated to endure extreme damage and wear) in one hand; it carries extra clothing, some paper and pencils, a needle and thread, bandages, some medical herbs, and lastly, a collapsible pistol-cross bow with 20 silver bolts.
Duty: Cael spends about every single moment thinking about his situation; about Aeris's great deeds; her brother's mutation; his duty; their destiny; his superiors' expectations, and perhaps most of all, his brother, Rinyl, and the mystery of how he died watching over Aeris while they were both last known to be dwelling inside a very protective sanctuary for the weak and weary. Cael also spends time giving Aeris personal space, yet is never too far away. He is always watching and waiting, scanning for danger; their relationship as friends, however, has brought out another side of Cael, which is often expressed by his doting on her needs, such as cooking meals; however, he does this with a faux-stern attitude.
Personality: Caeldrin is incredibly intelligent, even for an angel. Keen and perceptive, he often comes to conclusions that nobody else does, and if they do, Cael would have most likely considered it already. While he won't gloat over anyone about it, he often finds solutions offered by others to be nothing but short of perfection. Still, he is not really a social butterfly and a lot of what he thinks often goes unused or unappreciated by others. If his personality is explained by secondhand accounts, he is often seen as arrogant and conceited, but only those with firsthand experience know how humble he can be.
Cael is often deemed cold and aloof, often viewing everything with a stoic demeanor. He seems to always be in his own world of thoughts, yet is obviously painfully aware of everything around him. Obliviousness does not suit a guardian angel very well. He takes his job very seriously and the thought of taking a break from duty is somewhat alien to him. It doesn't help that the expectations forced onto him by his masters and the Council are a tremendous pressure, one that he doesn't even believe humans could understand. However, as he is so used to being distant (and being such makes his job easier), Cael finds being close and warm a hellish task.
Truthfully, a side that only Aeris knows, is a persona Caeldrin wishes he could become, or to put it better, return to. Warm and loving, lighthearted and jokeful. Such things, however, doesn't really seem right to him. He tries to understand it, but often time is frustrated by failure. It makes him feel human. At the same time, even a tiny success achieved by this makes him feel utterly relieved and well, that is an addicting thing for someone who's been training nonstop for roughly two centuries. The guilt that comes with this... experiment... is almost... manageable.
Biography: The Council expects much of young Cael, who is often compared to the deeds of his predecessor. It is known that a Clairvoyant told his master, Eldrin, that Rinyl would fall and that the Council would assign his next apprentice to the very same case. Cael was thus ordered to train in two fields, a hundred years each. During that time, his wayward actions and crass words were a cause for growing concern, but he nevertheless adhered to his training. He was first trained by Eldrin as a battle angel and learned the powers and arts of being one—however, Cael had a difficult time adapting to the harsh regime, but he is still better off for it. His might and stamina are not as strong as a fully trained battle angel, but it is still nothing to laugh at. Caeldrin cannot heal himself very easily, nor control his blood; with training, he may someday master it.
His second training regime was under Liolna, a guardian angel of a prime minister. It is here where Caeldrin truly excelled. His mastery of auristics has become what he is truly renowned for. As everything has an aura, with sentient creatures having the largest and most complex kinds, reading auras is much like reading a book that becomes more detailed the more he focuses on it. The following parameters are what Caeldrin has learned to read with little to no problems: physical properties, internal structure, feelings, magical activity, residual activity, and intent. Auristics should not be confused with mind-reading. In addition he can suppress and hide his own aura, making him very difficult to detect and trail with the use of supernatural senses. He can also do the same for his charge. Although this power comes naturally to him, it still drains his mental stamina if he focuses on one too many auras at a time, which for him is 5 or 6. Sensory overload and mental scarring are other symptoms that Caeldrin had managed to avoid so far.
During his training, he would occassionally be visited by his best friend, Rinyl, whom he considers to be like his brother (to put it in human terms). Cael sorely wished he could cease his training for just two days to watch Rinyl take care of his charge, the wayward 'pyro-prancer' Aeris Kasio. Near the end of his training, Cael's personality had changed--he was no longer the fun loving angel child. His mind was entirely consumed by his future charge. He just hoped that it would be a charge worthy of his abilities and intense training, as Eldrin made it clear that he would one day (very soon) become involved in an epic struggle for survival and righteousness.
Cael looked forward to it... but little did he know that a repeat of history would make his first and last charge Aeris Naera Kasio herself.
It has been 11 months since Cael joined the trio...

Saella Lasari - The Tame
Theme
Name: Saella Lasari.
Alias: Saella The Harmless; Saella The Tame.
Nicknames: Sae; Lala; and Ari.
Age: 19.
Type and Wing Colour: Pure Tamer
Relations: Her 'mother' and mentor Lasarian The Brilliant; her 'elder brother' Kaeden The Destroyer; and acquaintance Caeldrin The Aurist.
Personality: Naive, rather innocent, and brave in an odd kind of way, Saella is an exemplary young angel with an intense loyalty and idolization of the council...not to mention certain other angels. While she is smart, she isn't strictly a genius...not in the human sense of the word at least. Saella is rather humble causing her to seem very small and timid when around others, even demons. Even more bizarre is her belief that all beings are equal, despite the propaganda that has been fed to her since she was 'born'. She has, over her life, absolutely refused to kill anyone, and so in the interest of serving her kin, the world, and her own sense of morality she became a tamer.
Rather shy and submissive, Saella tends to keep to herself and not draw too much attention. She dislikes being in the spotlight and being praised, finding it embarrassing especially when she is simply doing her part for the better of her kin and, she hopes, the world. Her temper isn't of a particular sort, but there isn't much that bothers her too greatly, the exceptions being excessive arrogance and disservice to other living things. This has put her into a difficult situation in which she prefers not to associate with either demons or angels, due to their tendency to kill one another. In the field of hatred there are very few things, however, probably the one thing would be those who have a complete disregard for life in general, simply slaughtering a great many people without even a single shred of doubt or hesitation.
Beyond these things, her emotions tend to stay in a more positive spectrum, though she does cry rather easily. Having difficulty associating with her own kind has of course driven her to associate much more with humans than is considered normal, bringing yet another reason for ridicule among her kin. Still, she is very kind and very brave; able to walk into the fray of a harsh and brutal battle even when afraid for her life or the lives of others --the former typically being the case. She is a defender of the weak and unable as well as a positive example to humans of what they once though angels were: Powerful and divine guardians of the heavens and the human race. In this way, she is exceptional, but despite this she does often come off as rather awkward in social situations, particularly with other angels since most of them make her uncomfortable --particularly weather angels and other tamers due to their rather sick dispositions...and lack of emotion.
Still, her time with humans has left an impression, causing her to sympathize with them more than her own kind...to many, this is quite a problem, but as of yet no one has done much of anything about it. There are rumors that Saella is a possible traitor, despite her wings being brilliant, having taken on a pinkish hue from the amount of good she has done in her short life.
Biography: Coming into existence was a frightening thing for Saella, but soon after she came to know the woman who would be her mother, but not her mentor. Lasarian, having been a powerful battle angel in her day was the one chosen to raise the young angel who would become the girl that is known today. So as Saella grew and learned from the beautiful, though aged, Lasarian, the girl eventually came to know something about herself...the gods had chosen wrong. The older and more conscious of herself she became, the more she learned, the more she came to understand that the world she lived in was not the world in which she wanted to be.
She didn't belong. At least, not among her kin. They were all so...hateful, so arrogant...so cold towards the other races. She understood why they acted that way towards demons, but to the humans? It just didn't make sense to her.
When it came time for her to learn her specialty as an angel, Saella resisted, and resisted strongly. She was to become a tamer, but that violated her own beliefs. She didn't want to subjugate demons and then force them to kill their own kind, and she really didn't want to twist their minds to her will. When her mother found that she had been refusing to practice her inborn skills, she first questioned the girl as to why. However, when she found out, she almost froze as if trapped in obsidian.
Lasarian thought things over for a time, but soon recovered from the shock of her kind, if rather subservient and quiet, child's reasoning and unbending stubbornness. Lasarian found her daughter's response to be unsatisfactory and in response, Lasarian took Saella on a mission, a mission to show the damage a single surface demon could do to a community. Watching, tears came to the eyes of the younger angel, her white wings bristling with anger and so she abruptly stole her mother's weapon and charged down to protect the humans, despite her skills being far from those of a battle angel's.
Yet, when she got close enough that the demon turned to attack her, she faltered, thoughts flying through her head.
It's a living thing just like you; All it wants is essence, it is feeding...like any creature must; It feels pain just like me, I can't...I-....
Frozen in mid-flight, Saella was saved only by her mother who promptly tore the demon in two and tossed its wrangled corpse aside only to turn and cradle Saella in her arms. Rather than berate her, Lasarian surmised only that the girl had been afraid of the demon, not that she had literally been unable to kill it.
Saella never told her mother the truth, she couldn't...it would hurt the beautiful angel too much. So, instead, she opted to learn the subtle nuances of demon taming, despite her former resistance, thinking that at least this way she wouldn't have to kill anything herself. It was at this time that she met the angel who she'd eventually come to call 'brother'.
On only her second mission into the field, Saella was to capture her second demon, taming it and bringing it under her control. However, when she arrived she found herself promptly overpowered by the beast. Luckily, there was a clear sky that night and so Saella was saved by the grace of Kaeden the battle angel, an angel who had earned the title 'Destroyer' for the wrath and damage that his blades and body wrought on his enemies. He also rather enjoys watching over the city from the clouds in case someone might need his help. After all he always rather enjoyed the expressions of those who saw his magnificence hurtling down from the heavens.
So, upon finding the startled Saella, Kaeden found himself endeared to her by her silly rambling and nonsensical nature. So, rather quickly, the two became friends and so Kaeden came to cause less of his storms (of wrath, blade, and body) just a bit less.
Saella took to watching the city from the clouds as well and so the two became quite close and are still as such to this day. In fact, Kaeden is the reason that Saella was finally able to gain control of her favorite demon, a creature known as 'Kenen'. As without his battle prowess, Saella would have never been able to conquer the creature. So she does feel rather indebted to Kaeden, though he hasn't decided to make her pay this debt...or the one for saving her life.
Since then. Saella has managed to increase her skill in taming, finally proving herself on the field by being skilled enough to both avoid the attacks of demons at close range and subjugate them to her will at the same time. She has been acclaimed for being some kind of genius in the field of taming, but she will adamantly deny such, not to mention blush rather brightly. Beyond this, she has earned a single title, mostly due to her complete refusal to kill anything, be it to save herself, or another no matter the race.
The angel community is rather confused as to how to handle her....
Note: Saella has taken on part of Lasarian's name to show the bond held between the two.

Equipment: While she doesn't have very much skill with weapons, she does carry around a shield, which is typically collapsed into a rod formation. This shield was made for her by a human friend of her's. Additionally, there is the crystal necklace given to her by her mother, Lasarian. This necklace is capable of sealing demons within it once they have been subjugated. This necklace is known as 'The Crystal Prison' and can be viewed in the 'appearance hider'. This necklace is thought to have been created by a joint effort of the three races in order to seal a demon that was a threat to all three. The seals on its surface do not indicate exactly where the things sealed within are sealed, but it can be seen that they are ancient and ere crafted by human hands...hand guided by an angel clairvoyant, who gave some of her tears to fuel its power. A demon of unknown name at the time, likely one from the Western kingdom (oddly) sacrificed itself with the crystal over the ritual altar, allowing the entirety of its being to be used to eternally power the crystal prison, why a demon would do something so selfless has been lost to time. The necklace has been passed down between Saella's soul 'lineage' since her creation. It is likely that only the archangels and the most ancient of demons know exactly what it is...or what the unnamed beast referred to only as Unlight was. It is presumed that the Crystal Prison seals its inhabitants in an elaborate location that has since been hidden and erased from the minds of all, but one archangel and one ancient greater Hellion. Additionally, if Saella were to delve deep into the memories of her past lives, she would eventually (after a very long time) be capable of accessing the knowledge regarding the necklace, but for now she knows very little and maybe that is for the best.
Personal Capabilities:
Taming Power: Her taming power is considerable, as long as she is focused. She is capable of taming both hellions and surface demons of considerable ability. Additionally, while she does not mess with the minds (too much) of the demons she attempts to tame, or does tame, she has developed the ability to more or less read them. This is what allows her to predict and gauge the strength of demons and their abilities. However, when faced with more than three demons at once, her mind will become confused, causing her to lose focus. If two demons both of the 'Warden' class power level were to face her the same would occur. Facing a demonic lord is essentially unthinkable and it would drive her to, at the very least, mild terror.
Physical Power: As with most tamers, she is not very physically powerful...at all. However, she is agile and quicker than most, but having essentially not notable durability or physical strength. She has learned how to predict and dodge movements rather well, despite not being a battle angel.
Tamed Demons:
Kenen Vax
Sharvalli - Hellion

"So you want to know about little old Vax eh? Well, it's pretty simple. I was the Warden of the southern kingdom, I decided to take ooone tiny little trip to the human world to retrieve some idiot minions of mine, and this little tart decided it'd be fun for her brute, angel friend Kaeden to thrash me around a bit until she could capture me. So yeah, here I am, you meager insect, sitting in the sealing void of her necklace, but hey, at least I'm the central gem! I mean yeah, this totally beats ruling a country with an iron fist, being able to kill and eat whenever I want, and you know all that other good demon shit. Totally...totally.
"Anyways, I bet you're wondering why I didn't just use my lofty powers to defeat Kaeden. Well, it's pretty simple, and I'll be quite blunt here, Kaeden is a badass. Yeah, a demon giving a complement to an angel, what a spectacle, but seriously...that guy fuckin' threw me around like I was some rag-doll, and I ain't no pushover y'see. Anyways, been in this damned crystal prison ever since, forced to abide by Ms. Saella's will. So I've gotten used to it, settled the fuck in, and become her friend. Yeah, that's right, she's friends with a goddamned demon, fucking deal with it. Anyways, back to mindlessly staring into MOTHERFUCKING NOTHING SPACE, leave me to my empty, lonely, boring existence now and stop asking me questions...bastard."
Appearance Details: Vax stands at eight feet tall and has an essentially humanoid appearance. However, his skin is of a false smoothness as to use his ability he must 'open' rather large pores in his flesh, allowing the essence to be pulled into his body. Additionally, he possesses a sleek tail with a deadly oval formation lined on both edges with serrated spikes, allowing him to use his tail as something of a club. His fingers and hands appear fairly human, but he can extend his slightly sharpened nails into wicked bird-like claws. Upon his back there are two discolored bone-like formations that run parallel to his spine and on either side of it, these can be drawn out and used as swords, after which his flesh will heal over the spots they were extracted from.
Abilities: Kenen vax is capable of a good amount of things, and he is certainly a rather powerful demon, but his chief ability happens to be something he calls Ruina, or ruin. This ability allows him to gather an alternate type of essence, the kind that is infused through the realms rather than to give direct life to a host. This ability allows him to cause locations to decay and go into ruin rather quickly as well as using the essence gathered in that area to fuel both his physical form and powerful destructive abilities. While Ruina can effect living things by making contact, Saella only allows Vax to use it to weaken them and tire them out, rather than allowing him to kill them by removing the full extent of their essence from their bodies. He is also capable of using gathered essence, or his own, in order to strengthen various parts of his own body. Additionally he is rather durable and rather physically powerful due to his size, which is roughly 9 feet tall. Sharvalli all possess this ability, though Kenen vax's form of it is especially powerful.

Hellion Construct
Hellion Construct
"Ghaaavhaiiiiii kisiskikik cracka vhanadsfk"(We're not sure what it's trying to say, but we think it is cursing our ugly existence...rather ironic I think).
One of the FleshShaper's lesser creations, Chia'raq'kis'ij is a demon whom must beings have given up trying to call by its name, thus it is instead called 'Bladebug'...for obvious reasons.
Appearance Details: Yeah, it's repulsive. Only thing you really need to know is that it is roughly seven feet tall even when it is hunched over, so when it stands up fully it reaches roughly nine feet in height. Oh yeah and it's blind as a bat...meaning it sees through vibrations...aka its hearing is super acute. So is its sense of smell, allowing it to track down people by their essence signature alone as long as it has smelled it once before.
Abilities: Immensely fast and ridiculously hard to kill, Bladebug is capable of regenerating as long as even a single shred of his body remains intact. Along with this, it is fast, agile, and possesses a mouth and arms that can shred or cut through most materials. Even low grade swords and a good deal of firearms are easily cut into ribbons by this things blades, their master's soon consumed afterwords. This creature has no real power, unless being so repulsive that it sends most into shock initially is a power....

Ahrr'drana
Kaelvic - Hellion
Kaelvic - Hellion
"Know that should I ever escape this prison...I will tear you to shreds, along with this bitch!"
Appearance Details: The rest of her body flows appears very fish-like, with various frills and fins on her legs and tail. She possesses any shark-toothed mouths on her body. Some running down her arms, and a single one going vertically down the center of her torso, starting below her chest and ending just above her naval. She is 5'9.
Abilities: When a mouth is opened it pulls in air and exudes essence in a horizontal stream in front of itself for 10 yards. This stream of essence has a sort of gravitational pull, sucking anything within it at high speed towards the mouth in question. The mouth on her torso has a 20 yard stream. The essence exuded is invisible, only causing the air to waver slightly, similar to when one can see a multitude of gas in the air, or a drastic heat difference, thus causing 'ripples' in the air. She is agile and her skin is more like iron than flesh, allowing her to take a great deal of blows. Oh, her claws can also shoot off, attached to fleshy ribbons, and snag things, drawing them back like grappling hooks. She is completely blind, but like Bladebug, she sees through the use of sound waves. Her teeth are indestructible and can grow to larger sizes. These are typical abilities for a Kaelvic, which originate from the 'dry seas' of hell, in which they swim beneath the sand and intense'y hot magma deposits.

Dseszel
Ascended Vampire - Surface Demon
Ascended Vampire - Surface Demon
"Must I explain my position? It really is nothing special. I was a well developed surface demon, a vampire, until I devoured several angels and a demon or two. Of course it just haaad to be a problem, so I was targeted, but they all fell. Eventually I was able to grow these wings, their essence fueling my evolution till I became the magnificence you see before you! I am Dseszel, the ascended one! Bow before me lest I lay waste to your senses and the sad excuse you call a physical body."
Abilities: Dseszel is inhumanely fast, capable of moving and flying at speeds beyond the scope of the human eye. So far only skilled battle angels, and a very lucky Saella, have been able to hinder him in any way. Of course, now he is under her control. Beyond this, he is capable of conjuring massive blasts of wind with his wings and creating subtle illusions through eye contact, which allow him to make himself even more difficult to follow. These abilities, while semi-typical for ascended vampires, do not necessarily apply to all of them --though there are few due to the angel's careful watch over the surface demon population.
Captured Demons: These are demons which Saella has captured and sealed into her crystal necklace, but not tamed thoroughly enough for use. She keeps them sealed most of them time, choosing not to use them and not to release or kill them due partially to her principles and partially because they are too dangerous to release.
D'hrash 'The Blood Hungry'
A demon originating from the Western reaches of hell in the domain of the Chimeric lord. Formerly of the Warden class. A member of the Faelsar species. Was alive during the war where he killed over two hundred angels before being sealed into the crystal prison.
Vortrud Kemex'kal 'Bane of Prosperity'
During the early days after the war, Vortrud took part in the demonic campaign in which demons impeded the angels from setting up base on Surface as best as they could. He was the Warden, a general of sorts, who led these guerrilla strikes against angel kind. He is a former Warden of the Western region of hell, serving under the lord of the time, which may or may not have been Szayeis. Vortrud is a member of the Nightwalker species.
'The Excluded'
A construct created by the FleshShaper during the war, this beast was accidentally released from its cage and onto Surface a few years back. It appeared to be composed of the parts of a variety of demons who used illusion or pain inducing magic, along with obvious signs of possessing the abilities of a Sharvalli Hellion(see Kenen Vax).
Loh'eik 'The Severed'
A demon exiled from hell, Loh'eik gained his name from the fact that he possessed no limbs excluding his two tails yet still managed to always sever the heads of angels, devouring them soon after. His race is unknown due to his body being too disfigured to identify him.
Unknown name/Unknown Title
Unknown race or former position and affiliation.
Unlight
This being was sealed into the prison by Lasarian, it is unknown as to who it is or was. Lasarian has sealed it in such a way that nothing can touch its mind without specific keys and the like. Saella is afraid of it and she calls the demon 'Unlight', despite this not being its alias or name. She has figured out most of the keys needed to access Unlight's consciousness while keeping it sealed. However, she is afraid to wake it up...as its power sends her into a cold sweat.

Theme One | Theme Two | Theme Three
Name: Aeris Kasio
Alias: N/A
Nicknames: Airy, Ris
Age: 19
Species: Human
Relations: Brother: Mairyell Kasio
Guardian Angel: Caeldrin/ The Aurist
Appearance: Aeris has short (about shoulder length), dark brown hair that frames her face. Her eyes are that of an amber color, but have a tendency to change to darker brown variants. She's rather short, only reaching 5'0" in height and weighing around 110lbs. Her skin is a pale porcelain color, and she is easily sunburnt because of its fair nature. She can usually be found wearing darker and more baggy clothes. She prefers long sleeves and pants to protect her skin, and often has a hoodie on with the hood up. Her favorite outfit, however, is a baggy black hoodie with a black and red scythe on the back of it, dark blue jeans, and a pair of black and white converse. The hoodie itself is far too big for her, a lot of people think she snagged it from her brother as it reaches the middle of her thighs in length and the sleeves fall over her hands. The pants are a tighter fit, forming to her legs quite nicely, while still baggy around her calves. The black and white converse have hearts drawn on either ankle the left shoe has a heart with horns on it, and the right a heart with wings.
Personality: Aeris is shy, quiet, and often very childish. Even though she is very shy, it's not hard to get her out of her shell. All you really have to do is talk to her and she'll hardly ever shut up. Because of this, she's often on the phone for hours, simply talking to anyone who happens to call her and causing them to have to listen to her blabber on about nothing in particular. When she gets too excited, she ends up talking extremely loud without even realizing it, and that usually gets her either weird looks, or random people asking her to shut up.
You'd think that with the way she acts, that she's all sunshine, all the time. This is not the case. Aeris has a very dark demeanor to her if she's ever left completely by herself. Her need for people stems from this, because when she's left alone she believes herself to be useless or worthless. She cannot stand herself. This is something she tries desperately to hide through a facade of smiles and laughter. She fears that one day her facade is going to break, though... What will she do then?
Even though she can't see them, she does have some very redeeming qualities to her. She is very clever, and can often figure out a solution to any type of situation that befalls her. Along with this, she is very caring and empathetic toward people's emotions. She doesn't want anyone to be as sad as she feels, and so she'll always try her hardest to bring a smile to the faces of those around her.
Biography: The Kasio Korp was a rich company that thrived on selling highly valuable potions and drugs, herbs, and their seeds to the highest bidder. Maurice Kasio, the CEO, was such a powerful tycoon that he even had his own private army and assassins. His late wife, Layna, also gave birth to two siblings: a son named Mairyell, whom he attempted to groom for taking over the company, and later a daughter named Aeris. Their mother died when Aeris was a young child, and it was public knowledge that the cause was cancer. From the start, the Kasio siblings had always been a little wayward, which was reason for their father to worry. Mr. Kasio, ever the busy man, hired lackeys to keep an eye on his children and stop them from ruining his image.
It was not generally known that Mairyell contracted a demonic disease from his mother while she was pregnant. Nobody knew where this influence came from, but when it came time to address the seriousness of the situation, Mr. Kasio's true colors were shown. His human greed for power had warped his mind and caused him to avoid pouring funds into finding a cure for his wife's illness. After all, it was far more profitable for a company to treat symptoms of a patient than to cure diseases--if word got out that there was a cure for a new disease, the media would be all over over it. He had weaved a lie for his children, but his son sensed that there was deception in this. Mairyell doesn't, however, tell Aeris the truth about Mama's demise, but he always told her bed time stories about Mama whenever she asked him.
Sanity became scarce as their father started to fear them, especially Mairyell. The boy was showing symptoms similar to his mother, but instead of weakening him, it only made the boy stronger. Sedation became his father's favorite method to control him and suppress the demonic symptoms. He still had some twisted dream of making his son inherit his legacy, but the mutations were getting faster and harsher. It was too much. Soon, sedation doesn't work so Mr. Kasio locked up his own son. Unfortunately, he was not able to hide the truth from his daughter. When she found out, the very same demonic influence inspired her to burn down the Kasio Korp HQ. She did some damage, but ultimately failed. But her father was furious for she had managed to release Mairyell from his prison. Their father then disowned them and cast them away to another continent entirely. Unfortunately, Mairyell didn't have any medicine to control himself, so he would routinely freak out on Aeris. This was a problem that would not go away.
Despite the risks, Aeris and her brother began to continuously steal from their father's company warehouses, for medicine to control and sate Mairyell's vampiric metabolism. Not only did this cut into profits, but word spread that Kasio Korp was collapsing due to civil strife. Rivals began to push in on Mr. Kasio, both legally and not. It was during this time that Maurice began to increase the security of his warehouses, as well as sending in more and more assassins to seek out his 'dear' children. During one of the duo's raids, they found themselves unable to procure the medication they needed to sedate his strange urges. Because of their failed attempt, Mairyell went into a frenzy, attacking Aeris. During the attack he bit her, getting his first taste of her blood. Unlike any of the other blood he had had up to that point, Aeris' blood almost immediately satiated him. Though he regretted the act later, and tried desperately to keep from doing again afterward, he found himself unable to care during the 'meal.' A strange thing happened while her brother fed on her: the puncture wounds, while present, had not hurt her. Not one bit, and immediately after Mairyell stopped, the wounds closed soon after.
They were interrupted. Three human assassins dropped in on Mairyell and Aeris. The two of them were immediately ensnared with an acid-etched steel net, and rendered helpless. Mairyell, despite his strength, couldn't break the nets apart. It would seem the Kasio siblings would meet their fate then, but before their father's hit-men could kill them, a large winged being ambushed them, instantly killing one assassin with a large rock dropped from above. The next two assassins found themselves beheaded (and scorched) as Rinyl the Bulwark brandished his flaming sword. Melting the nets carefully, he freed the Kasios and explained that he was Aeris's guardian angel, sent to protect her at all costs for she would soon do great deeds. He added that their father had actually sent several teams before, but they were dispatched quietly. Rin then apologized for being late as a 'demon from the west' had intercepted him at night and demonstrated 'strange foreknowledge' of his assignment. It was noticed that Rin had puncture wounds on his neck, even though the assassins hadn't attacked him.
In reaction to the angel's appearance, Mairyell would at first be skeptical, and would likely remain as such throughout the majority of the two's interactions. Nonetheless, the vampire would accept Rinyl's assistance from then on, grateful for its help in rescuing them, but unsure of how he felt regarding the angel protecting his sister. After all, he did not know the fellow, and merely being of a certain caste among the angelic hierarchy did not warrant trust from the ever cautious Mairyell.
Aeris regarded the strange angel with caution, shielding her eyes from the bright flames licking across his sword. Her throat had dried as she witnessed him kill their ambushers. When it was all over, she looked up at him--worry seizing her face--but then realized that he was there to guard her, much to her confusion. Their first handful of exchanges were awkward, as she couldn't read his emotions, nor figure out his motives. It was all so very weird and alien to her, for she was only used to her big brother being her sole protector and guardian.
It became routine that during their travels, Rinyl would advise Aeris by scouting ahead where they wished to go. He was forced to trust Mairyell to protect his sister during this time. After months, the two began to accept Rinyl as a constant presence in their life. Though Mairyell kept his distance, Aeris began to show her gratitude towards Rinyl, mostly by trying to be friends with him and learn about him. The angel indulged her, somewhat reluctantly, but soon became, well, rather enamored with her. He kept those feelings to himself, however, as he knew what happened to angels who fell. He kept his mind on his mission, for the trio could rarely relax in one place before something else happened. It would seem that a curse followed their every footsteps.
One night, as another of Mairyell's manic episodes ensured, Rinyl fought Mairyell as he seemed, for some reason, meaner and more hostile than before. It worried Rin, and his honed instincts kicked in--the warriors ignored Aeris as they battled each other in a contest of wits and strength; however, they were both weakened from the fight. Having more experience and stamina, the guardian angel managed to whisk Aeris away and they disappeared into a sanctuary in which he had longed to shelter her, and train her to fight and protect herself. He never got that chance, though. When Mairyell found her again a couple days later, Rinyl was dead and Aeris was being consoled (in vain) by the sanctuary monks. He wasn't sure what had happened, but soon began to think himself to blame. Before they left, they attempted to bury Rin's body, but were denied. A squad of four pure angels emerged and while two of them wrapped Rinyl's body and picked him up, the other two brandished grimaces and scimitars at the Kasios. The angels uttered not a word as they left them behind.
The Council, however, were not done with the Kasio siblings' fate: they sent another angel, a specially trained one known as the Aurist...
Talents
Ventriloquism (Voice Throwing): Aeris is a very developed Ventriloquist. What this means is that she can throw her voice around an entire small room, making it seem like she could be anywhere within. She loves doing this to play tricks on her brother, as well as anyone else who happens to be looking for her.
Magic
*= Inactive; To be learned in the RP
*Levitation: Aeris' magic is that of Levitation, meaning she can levitate either herself or an object. She can "fly," or levitate herself for about a mile and can only lift herself about 20-30ft into the air. While she is lifting herself, she cannot lift any other person or object. The maximum weight of objects she can lift is about that of a mini-fridge in a hotel room.
*Brisn: A magic inherited from her late mother, This magic is capable of manifesting a water-blue energy with properties reminiscent of its elemental color. This magic has one simple ability, and that is the ability to absorb other energies. However, it is capable of effecting only living beings and elemental energies, thus it is weaker against non-elemental varieties of magic. Its effects on both living beings and elements is essentially absorption, but in two very different manners. When applied to a living being, this absorption will occur on any wounds, essentially 'absorbing' them from the body and thus healing them. When effecting elemental energies it will pull them into itself, amplify them slightly, and retain some of the properties. After which, the Brisn can be utilized to blast back the element, though both this and the healing does cost the user magical energies, as all magic should.

Julian
Name: Julian
Alias: "Blackhawke the Apostate", "The Lord of the North"
Note: He keeps his alias and true identity hidden for good reasons. As such he won't be recognized upon first seeing him
Age: 35
Social status: A fallen King and a vagabond, spurned and hated by many.
Relations: He has no immediate family
Duty: Wanders the world and observes the conflict between the Angels and Demons. Having been connected to their clashes and politics before.
Personality: Pragmatic and stoic, with a tint of sadness but is also very worldly. Knowing more than the average human about the battles between Heaven and Hell. He keeps to himself and refuses to let others get close to him, feeling that they would only hate him if they found out his true identity. His recent life as a vagabond has made him tough, and views both Angels and Demons with a level of suspicion and mistrust. But more important than anything else is his ability to keep his cool in tense situations and stand his ground against even the fiercest of foes
Biography: Modern Britain had fallen due to the pressures of the Heavens clashing and had reverted back to a more primitive Monarchy. Governed by the elderly King Richard IV, who was an idealist and desired to prove to the Angels that Humans could truly govern by themselves in a moral and responsible manner. And within a few years, Richard had pushed the idea of "The Eight Virtues" a simple code of ethics that people were encouraged to follow of their own free will. The virtues were:
Honesty
Compassion
Valor
Justice
Sacrifice
Honor
Spirituality
Humility
Through these, an "ethical golden age" soon followed due to the strategic implementation of Richard's moral code. And it seemed the Old King was to die proving to the Angels that Man could govern and achieve moral bliss without their help. Beloved by both Angel and Mankind alike, his death brought a shockwave to the world but also reassurance in their new leader, Lord Blackhawke.
Blackhawke was a younger advisor and confidant to the King and was seen as his most trustworthy and wisest servant. His position as next in line could only be seen as a continuation of King Richard's policies.
But that was not the case, within six months of his rule. Blackhawke implemented a series of draconian laws based around the eight virtues. They were no longer simply a guide by which people could chose to lead their lives. Now they were enforced by the state, their original meaning and purpose twisted and contorted beyond repair:
Honesty: Thou shalt not lie or thou shalt lose thy tongue.
Compassion: Thou shall help those in need, or thou shall have the same need.
Valor: Thou shalt fight to the death in the name of the virtues, or be banished a coward.
Justice: Thou shalt confess to thy crime and suffer the punishment, or thou shalt be put to death.
Sacrifice: Thou shalt donate half thy income to charity, or thou shalt have no income.
Honor: If thou do something dishonorable, thou shalt take thy own life.
Spirituality: Thou shalt enforce the laws of virtue, or die as a heretic before the Gods.
Humility: Thou shalt humble thyself before thy superiors, or thou shall suffer their wrath.
Within a few weeks the tyrannical Blackhawke had brought the country to its knees. And the Angels were openly suspicious of his behavior, which was most unlike his demeanor when he was an adviser to the former King. Though they refused to intervene until it came to their attention that Blackhawke was in possession of an artifact; an unholy sword from the pits of hell.
By the end of his significantly shorter reign, a large amount of riots across the country began to amass and unify under one unnamed hero. Who challenged Blackhawke for power and overthrew him, with the crown going to a young Sosaria, a distant relative of Richard IV. Many (including some Angels) called for Blackhawke's immediate execution.
However a deeper investigation by Sosaria and like-minded Angels revealed that the cause of all the suffering was not entirely Blackhawke's fault. An unknown Demonic influence had been corrupting his mind. Which also explained how the fallen king had gained his unholy sword, which had conveniently disappeared shortly before the King was disposed of. With the presence of a large number of Angels however, the strange Hellish aura retreated and seeped back into the world it came from. Blackhawke returned to his wits, ashamed and mournful. The new Queen, Sosaria gave him a choice: to be judged by a trial of his peers, or to be exiled from Britain for the rest of his days. Fearing death, Blackhawke chose exile and has lived the rest of his life as a vagabond up to this point. Being able to fend for himself with his skilled use of firearms and of course his trump card: His sword, which he somehow retrieved again, as if it was bound to him.
Blackhawke is hated and reviled throughout the world as an Evil Tyrant who destroyed the one chance the Humans had to prove themselves to the Angels. Angels too, are disgusted by him for his demonic influence (even if it was against his will) and his horrific sword: a rusty, nicked Silver saber from Hell. Which, while it looks ineffective is incredibly powerful. Not only is he able to wound both Angels and Demons, but the wounds linger and cause extreme irritation and pain to the victim, which would only slow them down and make them open for a more lethal attack.
Due to his infamy, Blackhawke has hidden his identity and now calls himself Julian, which is his generally unknown first name.
Extra: Julian is immune to being influenced by both Demons and Angels due to the severe nature of the corruption of his soul previously. As such, he knows all the mind tricks Tamer Angels and their Demon counterparts and can resist their manipulations.

Vaihrn Katela
Theme
Name: Vairhn Katela.
Alias: N/A.
Nicknames: Vair or Kat.
Age: 21.
Species: Human.
Relations: Dorin Katela (Grandfather) 'The Relief'; Valar Katela (Father) 'The Fierce'; Kaelia Katela (Mother) 'The Guardian'; Saerin Katela (Elder Sister)'The Vanishing'; Vaysdyn (Sister's guardian angel) 'The Hidden'.
Appearance: Worn under his jacket is the following shirt. The jacket is a heirloom from his grandfather, a gift given to him in previous years. See the equipment section for further information. Lastly, Vaihrn stands at roughly 5'7 and wears his hair in a pony tail, whose tips end just between his shoulder blades in the center of his back.
Personality:
Vaihrn is, without a doubt, a complicated young man. His whole life has been mercilessly rife with bitter strife and jealousy, notably of his older sister whose stellar achievements have long granted her excellent command of the family's respect, honor, and love; crucial ingredients that Vaihrn often had to struggle without through his younger years. Having to settle for such emotional scraps has rendered him into a swisscheese bundle of masked layers full of cracks and holes that he could not patch up even to save his life. As such, he is prone to muttering self-denigrating comments to himself, as well as resisting manic temptations to freak the fuck out. This is most evident when he tries to hide insecurities, especially around new people. Fortunately, when it matters most, say in battle, he is often capable of preserving his principles and remaining determined to the end.
There are some common grounds that Vaihrn shares with his family. His utter hatred for demons and those associated with them is wrought with profuse vehemence, most clearly demonstrated by his refusal to even tolerate any form of compromise with them. However, on the other hand Vaihrn can suppress his dislike for angelic company, thus allowing cooperation and interaction to exist, the only exception being with grossly over-arrogant angels. Between these two extremes, though, he is fairly kind and nice, almost always playing by the rules (he simply doesn't feel beholden to them). He tends to take a neutral stance in most situations, but if he is attacked or presumed innocents are in trouble, he will retaliate with full force.
In addition to this, Vaihrn has a very mellow temper, one only roused by intense injury or death of innocents and even less often, the underestimation of the few skills he has some measure of pride in. While he does not mind his skills in battle being questioned, he will not tolerate it when people denigrate his skills int he Art of Athriohm, something that he excels in. Thus, when weapons enchanted by his deft hands and mind are underestimated, he takes to mild annoyance, or sometimes a sort of smug confidence at what will happen next. He is most at home in his workshop, but does not mind traveling due to his time with his late, and much loved, Grandfather, Dorin Katela. If he, or his ancestor Esvario, are insulted, Vaihrn will also take seriousoffense. Beyond this, Vaihrn is an intelligent young man with his fair share in survival experience, but a sad lack of confidence. Despite his lack of confidence, Vaihrn does possess a rather good sense of humor, even if it is self-denigrating at times.
History:
A boy with childhood stolen, Vaihrn was never allowed to attend school, to obtain friends, or to let his plentiful creativity be stretched like the wings of so many angels. One might think him sheltered, but he was not. As a young child, Vaihrn was treasured as this generations first born son, though he was second in age to his sister, Saerin, he still had the admiration of his family.
Sadly, it did not last. As he began to spread his wings and hint to his family that his skills dwelled in places other than the family profession, they stunted his growth, clipping his wings early. Indoctrination one might have called it. They showered him with compliments and enthusiastically encouraged behaviors reminiscent of hunters, demon hunters.Yes, Vaihrn was both fortunate and unfortunate to be born into a family of demon hunters. Fortunate for the angelic council protected them as long as they did no harm to angels, and unfortunate because the majority of his passions sought to lead him elsewhere.
It was unfortunate that greatness had been an expectation hoisted onto him since early in his life. He was a Katela afterall and was expected of no less. His mother, his father, even his elder sister, pressured him, pushing him further into himself as they forced him to train in their ways. Yet there was one sanctuary from them, and it was in stories. Stories told to him by his grandfather, the only member of his family who served as a respite from expectation, the only open mind among the Katela family line. However, it was not till the age of eight that he could voice his interests, and four struggling years later, he had obtained the means necessary to resist the crushing, nauseating force of familial peer-pressure.
Apprehension had filled him, as he knew that to follow his passion meant defying family tradition. For unlike his kin, who had carried out their duties for decades, Vaihrn meant to deviate from the path of the demon hunter, and do something different with his life, if only in part.
So regardless of the threat of disappointing his family, the young Vaihrn could only follow his heart, even if no one else in his family followed theirs. Even if it meant being the black sheep, and possibly a disgrace to the family name. Thus Vaihrn began his training under the tutelage of his grandfather, a man who was respected for his hunting accomplishments rather than his knowledge in the art of Athriohm.
Athriohm, the art of recalculation, a seldom used ancient magic commonly known as 'sealing' or even 'enchanting'. It was this art that drew Vaihrn's interest and it was what he had pleaded to be taught for years. Each story of his childhood had gradually built his enthusiasm and piqued his interest, but he had not shown it, not until that fateful day that he denied his mother and his father the right to teach him their trade.
There was fear, then and now, of rejection, of not fitting in. He had no want for hatred. Yet, he could not bring himself to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors. At least, not the ancestors that his parents followed. The stories that had been told to him by his grandfather detailed the exploits of the man's oldest recorded ancestor, Athriohm Esvario. This man had not been considered a warrior, but rather a genius and a savior. Yet, despite the acclaim that his family now knew he followed, they gave him no support. So, even as the mocking words of his accomplished sister and the backhanded remarks of his father, Vaihrn timidly trudged on.
However, with a will too weak to resist their prodding, he eventually compromised, agreeing to learn from his mother as well. So he picked up two skill-sets, learning the agility and reflexes of a hunter, and the subtle art of enchantment and seals. He began to weave them together, forming a unique partnership between the once separate disciplines. His father, unyielding in his determination to sway his only son, began to take efforts to cut him off from his grandfather. A mistake, for Dorin would have nothing of his son's actions, and so eventually, a harsh divide was made in the family, and when Vaihrn chose to follow his grandfather, it became even harsher.
Moving often, Vaihrn and the elder man traveled, visiting various relevant sites and studying the runes, sometimes even assisting with minor enchantments or the like in the places they visited. He was happy, until he and Dorin found themselves against their first demon. Well, at least it was Vaihrn's first, and so when faced by the horrid eight limbed beast, face grotesque, eyes as dark as the void, he panicked. All his skills proved useless when the demon struck towards the weaker of the two first, seeking easy prey. Dorin would however, not let his dearest and only grandson perish, and so he weaved the sigils and drew his enchanted daggers to slay the beast.
Blocking its physical assaults with seal and blade, Dorin evaded its grasp by entering its personal space, where he moved to strike. A flash of liquid and suddenly much seared flesh, and Dorin fell to his knees, the entirety of his upper body and head seared by acid. Cackling, the demon laughed, before it collapsed, unable to move with its limbs bound and severed.
Vaihrn, after several tremulous minutes and a stunned look on his young, pre-teen features, finally stood and walked to his grandfather, who still seemed alive, but certainly near death. The man, to his last moment, never moved from his kneeling position, and never failed to kill the demon, as his daggers had lodged themselves in the beast, causing it to slowly bleed to death.
Tears welling in his eyes, he leaned close to hear the final words of the old seal master, "Find the O-Origin. M-my research...the library." Then Dorin placed his hand, or what was left of its burned form, against his grandson's chest and forehead and drew two circles with several patterns with his own blood.
Vaihrn opened his mouth, wordless, as Dorin's hand fell, limp, and the old man's body collapsed into his arms.
The boy never got over the death of his tutor and grandfather. In fact, from that day on an intense hatred for demons was instilled deep in Vaihrn's heart. A passion followed suit, fueled by the memory of his grandfather, and he practically devoured the research left behind by the man he had idolized for much of his life. At first he became a shut-in, until he helped a passerby survive the attack of an ascended vampire, and succeeded in its defeat. The stranger's encouragement of such and thanks inspired Vaihrn to help others, even if he felt he was rubbish at it.
So he came to become a contractor of sorts, enchanting weapons and the like for those who could pay, or even going so far as to deal with the few demons he felt himself capable of handling, even if he was in truth capable of far more.
It was only when his talents were truly put to the test by the appearance of his now friend and ally, Devin, a girl in need of specific balancing and sealing. So, it took him a few days, but he managed to craft a seal that would both assist in the balancing of the essences housed within her, and seal the essence of an angel within. It was, by far, the most challenging thing he'd ever done and it has given him at least a little confidence in himself. One can only hope his confidence increases, for without it he will never find the Origin.
Equipment:
He carries several vials of condensed liquid silver, which is enchanted to remain in a liquid state until commanded otherwise by the specific essence signature of its user. There are enough vials to hold the silver necessary to form several swords. This silver is also enchanted with a burning effect, causing it to burn things it comes into contact with if the user wills such.
[Grandfather's Garb]: Enchanted in such a way that it protects the user from all, but the hottest of flames (white hot) as well as being capable of absorbing damage from physical strikes. While it cannot be punctured, the wearer can still be stabbed as the cloth will simply be pushed back and into the wound. In addition to this, Vaihrn has added several seals on its form that allows the user to channel their energies in such a way as to allow him to summon any of his weapons back to his hands (via the gloves).
Vita tonsis(Life culls)[Heirloom Daggers]: Two daggers pried from the dying body of the demon that killed his grandfather, these are enchanted so as to stop regeneration on the point of cutting. This effect can be nullified by external healing magic, but cannot typically be bypassed by natural regeneration. The daggers hum when Warden or above level demons are within a three block radius.
Physical and Mental Skills
Speed and Agility: While not inhumanly fast, Vaihrn has a considerable amount of speed, comparable to the average track runner. However, he is not able to run at top speed for very long. He is capable of running at around 3/4ths of his top speed for a good amount of time, allowing him to maintain a fair amount of speed in combat situations. Additionally, he is rather agile, having learned how to easily traverse most environments from his mother. This allows him to move about the city, or otherwise landscape, very fluidly. It is one of the few skills that he can say he is at least okay at, which for him is saying something since he typically does not admit such things.
Tactical Intelligence and Memory Recall: Vaihrn's memory is exceptionally good and this is primarily because he has practiced at it since the death of his lamented grandfather, Dorin. This allows him to easily recall the various sigils and the smaller symbols and glyphs within them. In addition to this skill, Vaihrn was lucky enough to have inherited his father's tactical prowess, though it has also come from his observation in early childhood. Thus Vaihrn is actually adept at analyzing situations and coming up with logical plans based on either his own skills or the skills of him and his allies.
Dexterity and Multitasking: Vaihrn is very good with his hands, and the smaller appendages attached to them, allowing him to very easily put things together as well as draw the sigils related to his craft. Additionally, he is very capable in the area of multitasking, allowing him to not only be capable of paying attention to his surroundings, but be able to preform multiple actions simultaneously without getting confused easily.
Demonic Lore Master: Growing up, Vaihrn was exposed to many stories about his family's various hunting exploits as well as various lessons in order to prepare him for real life hunts. Thus he has become something of an expert on demonic anatomy, lore, and generally whatever knowledge is needed to make their essences cease.
Magical Skills
The Art of Athriohm: An ancient magic of unknown origin, Athriohm has to deal with the manipulation of various magical energies, both from the user and various materials and the like. Most practitioners of the art are able to pull various energies out of even inanimate objects, as each thing that exists holds its own power, effect, or inherent traits. One might call this essence, but perhaps not. Regardless, the art is capable of then imbuing the essence(s) it has drawn out into other objects freely by weaving the two (or more) energies together into a cohesive whole. Depending on the complexity of the energies and the skill of the user, more complex effects and modifications can be made. This modification is referred to as enchanting, though in truth it is called 'imbuing' or 'weaving'. The other aspect of the art is the ability to create, weave, and place what are referred to as 'seals' by most, but are actually called 'sigils'. Seals are different from imbuing due to the fact that imbuing takes preexisting attributes and reallocates them into new entities, while sigils will take preexisting essence, or the essence of the user, and modify it in such a way as to suit their purposes.
Thus, the Art of Athriohm is essentially the fine tuned control of essence and how it interacts with various objects, surfaces, and magical symbols. It is the control of essence (or magical energy, whichever fits the correct definition) in order to create or destroy. One could even call it the root of human magic, but no one truly knows, for no one has been able to ascertain just how old the art truly is. It should be noted that the majority of Anriohm, or recalculators, are on a constant search for what is simply referred to as 'The Origin'. Each of them wishes to discover where their art originated from, who created it, why it works.
Environmental Awareness and Magical Attunement: Through the use of establishing a sort of sensory aura around himself, Vaihrn is able to sense things in his immediate surroundings and create a sort of mental map of the surrounding area. If he is mobile, this area is considerably smaller, spanning a maximum of half the average city block radius, with its maximum size being half a mile when motionless and focusing with the entirety of his attention, which is rather difficult. Additionally, Vaihrn is capable of easily sensing magical activity and the presence of other beings, not to mention what race they are.
Silver Manipulation: By enchanting the silver that he carries, Vaihrn has attuned it to his essence signature, allowing him to control it as if it were an extension of his body. He can solidify and liquefy it more or less at will. This skill is very similar to the magic that his family typically teaches a supplementary skill to their physical prowess. He is primarily skilled in the defensive use of this, but can attack if necessary. He is still learning to use this effectively, though he likes to use it as a conduit for The Art.

He is primarily skilled in the defensive use of this, but can attack if necessary. He is still learning to use this effectively, though he likes to use it as a conduit for The Art.

Luciana
Keeper of the Balance
Name: Luciana
Alias: The Keeper of the Balance
Duty: As her alias would suggest, her duty is to Keep the Balance between the three worlds.
Age: Apparent - 32; actual - Pre-Great War, ancient.
Appearance: Her appearance is a bit difficult to explain. Her most common form is her first form, the one she uses the most and why she considers herself as a female rather than having no gender due to her multiple forms. The second form is more of a combat orientated form, which she uses when her first form isn't enough and subtly is over. Her third and final form is what she uses when fighting angels and opponents up to par with Archangels and high level Demons.
Second Form Third Form
Social status: She is viewed as a traitor by her fellow demons.
Relations: She used to have a small army of followers, but they were all slain.
Duty: Up until recently, she was trapped in a prison created by demons angry with her actions.
Personality: Luciana has very little emotions as they would affect how she keeps the balance. Emotions create bias, and bias leads to unbalance. As it is, she could be described as cold, calculating, and ruthless. She does everything and anything she can to keep the Balance between the three worlds. Which was shot to shit during the Great War. With this level of Unbalance, emotions she shouldn't be having are beginning to bubble through. As such she is prone to sudden outbursts of rage and violence, and equally sudden outbursts of peace and pacifism. If she doesn't lock the Angels back in their world and shove the demons back in theirs, she might very well go insane. Which isn't good for any involved.
Biography: Before the Great War, Luciana served as a medium between the three sides. She always sought to preserve the balance of powers between all three, so as one could not overcome the others. Eventually, her entire being became dedicated to that goal. Not as simple as it sounded. So, to help her persuade the more difficult of the two sides, Luciana underwent metamorphose, giving her her powers of the 'three forms', and the ability to create followers by given them a 'Snake bite' that she can activate at any time to have loyal soldiers of the Balance.
Luciana fought in the Great War. But not as most would think. All demons know her role in the war. She would fight with both sides as was needed, to prevent one side from unbalancing the other. The whole while she advocated peace and an end to the war. What the demons could not forgive was her fighting against them when they destroyed heaven. She was captured and locked in prison for her 'crimes' and had been sealed ever since, weakened by the lack of balance with only one gate broken or destroyed. He followers were all slain, and she was left trapped, awaiting the time some semblance of balance would return.
The angels, on the other hand, know next to nothing of her except for a few vague mentions. The Archangels want to keep their loyal horde of brainwashed angels and that wouldn't work well if knowledge was made known that a demon actually helped them fight against the demons when they destroyed their original home. So, she'll be viewed as vile and evil by all angels except perhaps those who remember the destruction of Heaven in the Great War.
Luciana's abilities:
First form:
Resilience: Her skin is tougher than most, providing greater resistance to damage.
'Sixth' sense: Luciana can sense Demons and Angels and, if she takes time and concentrates, even differentiate between if they're surface or not.
Olympic physical traits: While not superhuman, her speed, reflexes, and strength are up to par with an Olympic athlete.
Her pistols: While not abilities, they deserve mention. The right one is designed to damage Hellions with ease. If it hit a Surface Demon, while not utterly destroying it unless it was already half dead or similarly incapacitated, it would hurt a hell of a lot more than regular bullets. Likewise with the left pistol, only for Angels, Original and Surface.
Suppressed Aura: The way most Angels and Demons sense her is suppressed, making her look like nothing more than a human.
Snake bite: She can deliver a 'snake bite' to Angels, Demons or humans. Earning her help in any and all fights. The final group is easiest to convert as they are least likely to fight her presence, or win if they do. This creates a psychic link between the two and Luciana can, if she concentrates all her will inwards leaving her a statue and vulnerable, make them do her will. They gain a medium of protection from damage, but nothing more.
Second form:
Fire Magic: Luciana is capable of high levels of fire magic, the flames used for it generated by her body in this form. Large fireballs, breathing fire, to name a couple uses. This can be stretched to an mediocre extent to flames that didn't come from her body.
Greater Resilience: Her resilience is increased to an even higher level somewhere between a Hellion and Surface Demon.
Superhuman physical traits: Her strength, speed, and reflexes are increased to a superhuman level, rivaling that of a werewolf or vampire.
Pistols: Her pistols adapt to her increase in size(from 5ft 6in to 6ft in terms of heighth, while her body becomes bulkier in comparison to her first form), and also gain the ability to be changed from pistols to a melee weapon(s) Note: When they become a single weapon their effects on either Demons or Angels is lessened considerably, but she can affect both with one weapon.
Aura: Her Aura begins to break free of it's suppression announcing to all that she is in the immediate area but to those that do not know the feel of her Aura she is naught more than a particularly powerful Surface Demon.
Snake bite: Those who have received her snake bite will find their abilities increased noticeably. Not substantially, but enough to make them a bit more useful than normal. Their protection is increased as well.
Third form:
Elemental Magic: Luciana can manipulate or generate the four elements, any derivatives of them(For example, lighting, gems or metal) in addition to darkness and light. She can manipulate them to extremely powerful degrees(earthquakes), in addition to combining them(Fire Tornadoes).
Hellion Resilience: Her skin becomes even more resilient, further protecting her from damage. At this point only Hellions or Original Angels would be able to damage her by themselves.
Godlike Physical traits: Her strength, speed, and reflexes drastically increase, to a degree what the humans would call godlike. Buildings are heavily damaged if not outright destroyed in a strong blow.(Her heighth increases drastically as well, going from six to eight feet. She becomes even bulkier compared to her first form, in her upper body as her lower body turns to goats hooves. And grows horns.)
Flight: Her leathery wings are for more than just show, despite the tears.
Pistols: Her pistols shift to large glowing blue double bladed objects. They maintain their range capabilities, by being able to fire half sickle blasts of energy, but trade power against either Hellions and Original Angels for the ability to damage either with both blades.
Aura: Her Aura essentially shatters it's suppression, announcing her presence to the entire city, and a few miles beyond, drawing the attention of everything and anything that isn't human. Even humans would notice her aura at this point, a faint shimmering about her.
Snake bite: Those who have received her snake bite will feel their powers increased dramatically. Humans to Surface Demons, Surface Demons to Minor Hellions, Surface Angels to the equivalent.
Still, even in her growing insanity, she is wary of using this form. Both for the attention it attracts and the damage she could wreak with it. As such, she'll only use this when something has stirred her hate to insanely high degrees, or a Hellion/Original Angel has attacked her.

Solus Grim
Theme Song
Name: Solus Grim (Human Soul)/Exmortis (Demon Soul). He is known by both names, since he has a dual personality.
Alias: He has many aliases, as he is both widely feared and respected. The most stand out alias however is "Necromaster", a name given to him by Mephistopheles (Mephisto), a Demon Lord who almost started another Great War, during their final confrontation in Hell.
Race: Hellion-possessed Human
Inner Demon Type: Blood Reaver
Duty: To banish Angelic Scum from Earth and send the Demon Filth back to Damnation.
Age: Unknown
Appearance: Solus stands at relatively tall 6 foot 2, with a muscular but quite nimble build. (See pictures above for attire) Solus looks nothing like a human, well his face anyway. The lips of the mouth are missing and the area where they should be is jagged, but both "lips" fit together perfectly like a puzzle piece when the mouth is closed. Solus has no nose, simply the nasal cavity of his skull inhabits that area now, overapped by a bit of flesh. His eyes are sunken in, and glow in a bright green, just like his nostrils and mouth. Other than that, he's human in every way, just as physically "weak" and "feable" as any other. His appearance is the consequence of his soul merging with Exmortis'.
Solus in his armor.
Social Status: The name "Necromaster" is quite infamous among both Angels and Demons. Hellions see the Necromaster as a strong warrior who proved his worth against the powerful Demon Lord, Mephistopheles. While Surface Demons have only heard rumors of a human with necromantic powers, and the Protected, especially the older former hellions, consider the Necromaster a bluff, a simple story. Angels have heard of the name right after the news Mephisto's death reverberated across the Three Worlds, and that he was defeated by a mere mortal in a duel for the fate of mankind. The Council only know that he exists and that he is a threat that needs to be contained. Only the current residents of Hell know what Solus looks like, somewhat.
Personality: Solus - He is a cold and ruthless man filled with hatred and anger for everything that isn't human, though there are a few exceptions, if they prove themselves to him. He has seen enough horrifying things to be left unphased by most evils, but there are many things that could perhaps shock him, if not frighten him. Solus is willing to do an evil thing, in order to achieve a good deed. For example: Sacrificing a few innocent souls, to kill a powerful Hellion who would kill thousands, is a deed Solus is willing to do. You could say that Solus is Chaotic Neutral, a man who has his own goals and ambitions, and will cause as much destruction as necessary to do so. Some would say his methods are a bit overkill, though it could be Exmortis' violence fetish that partially influences his actions on the battlefield. Solus is strong willed, and he will try to finish what he started, even if he has no arms or legs to do so. He did manage to defeat Exmortis, who was formally a Soldier in Mephisto's Legion, in a battle of wills. Solus still does fear that there is still a possibility of being possessed fully, not by Exmortis specifically, but by any demon that can prove their mettle.
Exmortis - This thing being called a Hellion is indeed a matter of debate, a monster of the Wildlands in the realm of Hell would be better, as this demon is as insane and as destructive as all of the colective souls of a human maximum security mad-house. Exmortis is sociopathic killer that simply adores violence, gore, and destruction, but he only ever gets the pleasure of tearing living things apart with his own hands when Solus commands it, but he still enjoys watching the carnage when Solus is in control. Though despite his near infinite madness and bloodlust, he is very well versed in the lore of the Three Worlds and is quite the genius. Exmortis has a motto, "There's no kill like an overkill.".
Biography: Solus only appeared on the radar a year ago, when he killed Mephisto in his own realm in Hell. How Solus got into Hell in the first place is a simple matter of asking Melody, the harp playing Gatekeeper of Hell. She saw his intentions as he approached, since word of Mephisto's tyranical reign and his plans to attack the surface world and start a second Great War have spread far and wide, and the Angels were amassing an army of their own in retaliation, she immediately knew what the well armed human was there to do, sensing that Mephisto's attack would destroy her gate and destabilize the Three Worlds, she let Solus through. Solus ventured into Hell with a party of three other necromancers like himself, each possessed with an essence of a hellion.
Of course, the smell of human flesh in a place like Hell tends to attract a lot of unsavoury characters. The humans forced to battle the way through to Mephisto, though they have only scratched the surface of his vast armies. By the time Solus reached Mephisto, all of his party members had died. Though Solus only reached Mephisto by getting himself captured, and was granted an audience with the Demon Lord.
Knowing Mephisto's honourable warrior nature, Solus asked for the Right of Challenge, a right given to any warrior to challenge the Demon Lord (which ever one is currently ruling) in a battle to the death, a tradition within Mephisto's realm. While the other Hellions who witnessed Solus spout the Right verbally protested against it, Mephisto stood up, and scanned the human from head to toe with his eyes, then, to his minions' disbelief, requested that they returned the human's weapons, and that he accepted the challenge.
The fight between the two lasted for hours, they tirelessly and relentlessly engaged eachother in combat and exchanged powerful blows while Mephisto's minions watched. After several hours of brutal battle, the two were covered in eachother's blood, and both severely wounded, it was when they both briefly stopped fighting just to catch some air when Mephisto said, "Join me, Necromaster. Join me and I could give you the Surface World, Immortality, anything you desire. You have more that proven your power to me. Join me, and we can rule the Three Worlds together!." Solus didn't even answer, but raised his sword for another blow, while Mephisto froze in shock, bewildered that Solus hasn't even bothered to consider his offer. Solus smashed his blade against the top of Mephisto's head, splitting it in two, slaying Mephisto right infront of his advisors and minions. The witnessing Hellions didn't even try to stop Solus as he didn't say a single word, and simply left the ruined Throne Room.
News of Mephisto's death spread faster than a forest fire, before Solus could even reach the Hell Gate, still clutching his wounds, the entirety of Hell, and even most of the Surface World has heard of Mephisto's demise. Melody knew of his death just as he got the killing blow that finished him, as one of the cracks on her harp had vanished, but new ones would soon emerge from other sources. Melody opened the gate for the human without a word, he had done what had to be done. He shambled out of the gate, badly wounded, but determined. Even though he killed Mephisto, he only stalled the day the second Great War would begin.
It was six months later when he re-emerged again, when he slayed a whole brood of vampires, including their leader, Kabal, who died from a silver bullet to the head. The Council took notice. A human with dark powers could not be allowed to exist, and as such, sent out Battle Angels to find him, and destroy him. The Angels never returned however, and the Council's concern only grew larger, until a week ago, they received the decaying severed head of one of the Angels they sent, inside of a leather pouch that was filled with sunflour oil.
Powers:
Solus has two different sets of powers, each based on which spirit is controlling Solus' body.
Solus - His powers consist of his Dark Arts knowledge.
Necromancy: The power to utilize magic involving the dead, or their essence to be more specific. Practitioners of this trade are known as Necromancers. A form of Magic and Dark Arts.
Solus' magical abilities revolve around manipulating the dead, death, the essence for good (i.e., resurrecting the dead), evil (in various ways) or simply neither. Solus can also use communicate with the deceased – either by summoning their spirit as an apparition or raising them bodily – for the purpose of divination, imparting the means to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge.
Many practitioners find a way to cheat Death one way or other, whether by becoming some form of Undead creature or by bypassing their own ability to die.
Solus on the other hand, uses this ability to create monsters, raising the dead and twisting, changing the corpses into horrifying monsters that are bound to his will (The twisting and changing of the body requires a dash of blood magic). The monsters range in shape and strength based on the spirit that was summoned, the weaker the soul, the weaker the monster, and vice versa. The most common example is what Solus calls a "Shadow Warrior".
Shadow Warrior
Shadow warriors are of an intermediate level in power, and are created from fallen Hellion, generally the lesser ones, such as imps, and are quite easily crafted. Their creation however takes half of Solus' power, so he normally makes them when it's within the most dire of situations, or when there is plenty of outside blood (blood that isn't his own) to spare.
Shadow Warriors are blindingly fast, leaving a dark aura behind them as the move about. The sharp and powerful claws could rip a surface demon in two, but they will have some difficulties with Hellions and Battle Angels.
Shamblers are another example.
Shambler
Shamblers need a lot of preparation to be created, runes, 3 hellion deceased, a lot of blood and satanic glyphs and circles, and 6 hours of casting, as the spell required is a powerful summon and spirit blend. Solus also suffers a chance of losing control of the Shambler, and being forced to kill it, rather than laying it to rest later.
Shamblers are slow, as their name states, but these large 9 foot tall giants can make an Angel weep for mercy, and a Hellion run in the opposite direction, as their strength is immeasurable and they simply won't die without the right know how.
The simplest and the most easiest to summon, are zombies.
Zombies require no preperation at all, require little energy, and only a simple spell is required that can be cast while in combat, and the corpse can be anything, Angel, Demon or Human, it does not matter. Solus simply uses them as a distraction and cannon fodder, since they are slow and weak, and easily killed.
However, if there are no dead bodies around, Solus simply can't summon anything at all, or recuperate his life force, making his necromantic powers useless.
Blood Magic: The power to cast spells through blood. An Ancient form of Magic.
Solus has the inherent power in their blood to fuel spell-casting. This is an ancient version that predates word-based magic and was considered by some to be more powerful. Blood Magic was a kind of magic based on the employment of blood which is an important component in many rituals, spells and other aspects of the supernatural world. It can be used for pretty much anything, but Solus uses it for regeneration, at the cost of his own or someone else's health.
Exmortis - Exmortis' power consists of enhancing Solus' body when he takes the reigns. However, Exmortis cannot cast spells, as he has lost almost all his original powers to Solus.
Demonic Rage/Berzerk: Exmortis loses his mind to the bloodlust and anger for being permanently trapped within Solus, and goes into a fit of uncontrollable rage, ignoring damage while causing enormous amounts of physical trauma to the hostiles with Solus' fists alone. Who needs weapons when you can rip and tear! This fit of rage only lasts for a short time, and Exmortis loses his grip on Solus' body, and cannot be summoned for the rest of the day. Even though this is the only destructive power he has, it is highly dangerous and it is best to avoid Exmortis' visual range and peripheral vision, as he will attack both friend and foe. Solus will normall warn allies if he is about to release his inner demon, telling them to hide, or remain behind him as much as possible, if they have the fast enough reflexes to do so until Solus regains control of his body.
Skills:
Solus was not only trained in magic, but also in a multitude of necessary skills required of a warrior-mage, while most mages would run and hide to recover their mana after spellcasting, Solus stands and fights with his physical strength, as the only way for him to recover his energies is to kill, and keep killing.
Short range weapon proficiency: Solus is quite the marksman with pistols and shotguns, and a master swordsman with blades, specifically katanas, and he is quite capable with his own fists.
Parkour and free climbing: Growing up in the slums of the City of Loom and among some of the toughest human street thugs around, young Solus needed a way to escape, so taking to the roofs was always the best option. Now that he is much older and faster, he uses this skill to chase and run down Angels that fly, or Demons who know their way around the city.
Demonic Wisdom: Good old Exmortis indeed knows a lot about the Three Worlds, some would say too much. Some called Exmortis the Enraged Loremaster before Solus stole his soul and powers. He knows all the stories and legends, things from even well before the war.
Weapons:
Solus' weapons are what he depends on the most, not his magical capabilities, but his guns and his swords. They are what deliver the final blow, and also deliver the first.
"Maledictory" Eagle
Maledictory
It may not look like much, but it quite the work of art, a perfect example human engineering, and a bit of magic. The "Maledictory" Eagle is a weapon of dark power, forged by necromancers, for necromancers. It's standard firing mode fires silver .50 ae ammunition with enough power to almost knock a human's head right off its shoulders, while its more interesting, secondary firing mode, fires a magical round that does double damage, and upon hitting something, like a wall for example, creates an upside down crucifix effect, which leaves behind traces of blood. Though this firing mode saps Solus' life force (his blood to be more specific) in order to create the special rounds. The gun has a box magazine of 7 rounds.
Beretta 93SR Auto 9, AKA "Bulletstorm"
Bulletstorm
This beretta isn't exactly special like the Maledictory Eagle, as this weapon is as standard as they come. It can fire in full auto, and 3 round bursts, and is fitted with a 20 round box magazine filled with 9mm silver bullets.
"Sledgehammer" Dual-Barrel Shotgun
Sledgehammer
The Sledgehammer is a dual-barrel shotgun that can be fired single handed, and fires .410 buckshot filled with silver pellets. Both barrels can be fired simultaneously, or individually.
"Bonebreaker" Quad-Barrel Shotgun
Bonebreaker
This weapon is not only ridiculous in its appearance, but also in its sheer firepower. With all the barrels fired at once this beast can detach a human torso right off the pelvis. It also, like the Sledgehammer, takes .410 buckshot rounds, and can fire one barrel, two, and even four simultaniously. Solus doesn't always bring it with him, as it is simply too large to conceal.
Two "Demon Eye" Silver Katanas
Demon Eye
They are exactly what their name states, a simple pair of silver katanas. Solus doesn't always bring them with him, as once again, they are hard to conceal.

Devin Windsler
Name: Devin Windsler
Alias: The Thing, The Blessed Possessed
Age: 22
Appearance: With a form in a constant state of flux, it’s rare to ever see her the same way twice. The only time her form is somewhat stable is when the entities sealed within her enter a balanced state where her consciousness takes ahold of her body. When she has control, her physical form will appear as a human female with one angelic wing and a mechanical wing, of her own design, to match it. She uses the powers of the demon sealed within her to form and maintain the mechanical wing.
When she isn’t in control, her body will appear male with a fluxuating ratio between demonic and angelic aspects that emulate the true forms of the two beings. This physical fluxuation is a surface level representation of the constant battle going on between the two beings as they vie for control of the human body. The only consistent thing about Devin’s form is the presence of some form of metallic container on her back. This container provides the materials needed to form her right wing as well as serving as a holster for Faelian’s weapons.
Relations: Presently her only friend is Vaihrn Katela, those that she knew and loved were lost to her access forever when she became thrust into the conflict of angels and demons.
Personality:
Before the incident, Devin was a brilliant scholar and a born tinkerer. Always taking things apart to find out how they worked and putting them back together so they worked even better than before was her favorite thing in the world. She was always the top of her class and extremely friendly to all those she met. But having seen her dear brother dead and then being thrust into an eternal conflict she had never known to exist, she has become very cold and distant. Tending to spend what little time she has in control, secluding herself and tinkering away to keep her mind off of things.
Biography:
Devin: So you want to know who I am huh?
Well that’s kind of a loaded question…
Kalliknen: Why are you bothering to talk to others, you know your mind will be overtaken soon enough. Why continue the struggle? Just give in and…
Faelian: Because you will be returned to oblivion soon enough you demented little shadow spawn.
Kalliknen: ME?! Returned to oblivion?! HA! I have a constant supply of your essence to keep me sustained, not to mention you are just as much trapped here as I am. What could you possibly do?
Faelian: Being patient and fixed on my goal will soon see your end, you foul…
Kalliknen: HA! Oh yes, I’ll be smitten by you sitting around doing nothing.
Devin: Honestly, could you both just pipe down? Your constant yammering is giving me a headache.
Kalliknen: I’LL DO AS I PLEASE MORTAL! You are NOT my mistress, you hold NO autho…
Devin: Stop yelling, there’s no point to it! Your whispering sounds like a god-damned megaphone in my ear, yelling just causes a sharp pain. And as incentive to keep your mouth shut, how about I fall on my sword? That’d put an end to your constant chatter, PERMENANTLY. My soul will move on, yours won’t.
Kalliknen: …..
Devin: That’s better.
Faelian: You know such actions would condemn your soul to…
Devin: I don’t care, anything would be better than having a constant argument in my head.
Faelian: ….
Devin: Thank you, I only get to speak when the two of you are balanced and I’m not having my time wasted by a perpetual fight. Save the conflict for when I’m no longer conscious.
Now then, where was I…? Ah yes, explaining who I am. My name is, Devin, and as you can probably tell I’ve got quite a situation on my hands. Life has been really difficult since my brother died. We had lived together for years, watching each other’s backs, going out and picking up girls, and even sharing a career in engineering. The whole thing started one day while my brother was in the workshop, tinkering with our prototype telsa coil. We had been working on making an alternative energy sou…
Kalliknen: Oh YES! I remember this part! I…
Devin: WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT TALKING?! Ugh… you really could have done a better job with these seals Faelian. You couldn’t place a mute spell on him? Maybe cut out his tongue?
Faelian: The ritual had little time to be prepared, and this isn’t something that’s a common practice. Besides, spells don’t quite work as simple as waving a wand.
Devin: Just… whatever. Do me a favor and suppress his energy please?
Faelian: Very well.
Kalliknen: HA! You really think that overblown pigeon can…… urk....
Devin: Finally…
Anyways, speakerphone here decided it’d be fun to “play” with our machine and attempted to… integrate with it. This jumped the voltage up about 100 fold and fried my brother’s body like butter in a microwave. And as if the sight of my brother’s charred corpse wasn’t enough, I walked in to find Kalliknen devouring him like a boar in a truffle patch.
Kalliknen: Electrically charged human flesh is a rare delicacy, and the energy from your contraption was a lovely appetizer.
Devin: I hate you…. So much.
Well after fighting back the turning of my stomach, I grabbed the large pliers we had and tried to clamp them over Kalliknen’s neck. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have known what he truly was, and he proceeded to transform into his elemental form and…
Kalliknen: Took over your puny little mind ehehehehe
Devin: You know, had you not killed my brother and then proceeded to possess me, I probably would have thought a lightning elemental demon rather cool.
Kalliknen: Well had that candlestick with wings not sealed me in here, you wouldn’t have had to live with me long.
Faelian: I did what needed to be done, you had already been zipping around the planet leaving a sea of corpses in your wake. The human’s affinity for technology wasn’t helping contain your powers either. A century ago, you would have only had power within a storm. Nowadays however… well, the humans have made you a considerable threat.
Kalliknen: I relish the compliment, featherbrain. To be considered such a threat as to have one of the heaven’s finest toss away their life so easily. Ehehehe
Faelian: -sighs-
Kalliknen: Aww what’s this? Regret? Depression? It’s alright simple angel. Just relax back and let go
Faelian: I’LL NOT FALL FOR YOUR TRICKS DEMON!! MY WILL IS STRONG AND…
Devin: AAAAHHH!! Again with the yelling?! What makes you think that you were an exception to that rule?
Faelian: Apologies Devin
Devin: Ugh… this cycle of nonsense is never ending, but I suppose it’s not all bad. I mean, sure my consciousness gets suppressed while two entities from other realms vie for control over my body. But when their energies enter a stalemate I can access both of their powers, and they work rather well with my career skills. My ability to build things combined with an attunement to electricity and then great battle knowledge on top of it make me quite the capable fighter, but it works well for utility as well. It’s even been entertaining to see an angel and demon work together at times…
Kalliknen: THAT’S ENOUGH! I’ll not have my name tainted by the spreading of such rumors of cooperation with that flying meat sack.
Faelian: Aww, now look who getting their feathers ruffled. It’s ok Kalli, just relax back and give in…
Kalliknen: THE HUMAN IS THE FEMALE HERE! Use my FULL name or speak none of it you pompous arro...
Devin: Well, I’ll leave you to their constant banter, maybe you can find some enjoyment in it. I know I’d probably find it amusing if they weren’t doing it in my head. Guess I’ll take both their advice and just relax back and fade…
Kalliknen: PIGEON with a stick! Oh look at that, I have control again. Ehehehe my day is coming soon to be free!
Faelian: Wishful thinking Kalli, it’s cute that a demon has a dream.
Kalliknen: WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT MY NAME!! YOU…
Abilities:
Devin:
Unified Perfection: When Devin is actually in control of her own body, she has full access to the full extent of Kalliknen’s and Faelian’s abilities as well as their combined dexterity and combat knowledge. Oddly enough, the two opposite’s abilities work together extremely well. Devin is able to move exponentially faster than either of the individuals by accessing Faelian’s natural physical prowess and boosting it by speeding up her cells and neural connections within her own body by electrically overcharging them. While moving at this speed, she singes whatever comes into contact with her just from the amount of energy she is exuding. She can adjust this ability very extensively but when she pushes the voltage too high, even Faelian’s innate healing can’t resist the extensive strain it places on her body.
Kalliknen:
Lightning form: Kalliknen’s true form is that of pure lightning focused into a humanoid shape. He can enter and exit this form in an instant but due to the seal used to contain him within Devin, at no point can his aspect force the entire body into this state, though he can charge any piece of the body with his energy. In fact he can only transform as much of the body as he has control over at any given time. He can draw electricity from nearly anything, and charge objects he is in contact with, but his environment will affect the power and extent of this ability at nearly all times. While in this elemental state his form becomes easily changed and can grow and condense depending on how much access to electricity he has at the time. This also gives him the ability to very rapidly draw himself to any electrically charged device, while at the same time being able to draw the object to himself.
Electricanesis: By creating an electrical “tether” to a conductive material, Kalliknen can freely move the object in space by using his own energy to change the object’s magnetic polarity. The “tethers” are highly flexible, using molecules as a medium to bend, twist, and stretch the connection however far or unnecessarily twisted a path Kelliknen desires.
Atomic Boogaloo: By accessing the innate electrical connections present at an atomic level in all things, Kalliknen can disrupt and alter the very charge that bonds things together. This allows him to alter nearly any object he touches. This ability requires varying amounts of focus based on the material. Conductive materials, such as metals are very easy for him to manipulate, but combustible or highly insulating materials require a great amount of focus to even disrupt.
Faelian:
Warrior of Light: As a Battle Angel, Faelian was gifted was great physical prowess and natural healing gifts.
Having gone through many battles and undergone extensive training, Faelian is a capable fighter in the majority of known forms of combat, though he himself prefers swordsmanship. He generally will be seen fighting behind the blur of a glowing greatsword. Those who have had to stand against his enchanted blade quickly become physically exhausted from just blocking the barrage of heavy attacks. Occasionally Faelian has been known the exchange the heavy greatsword for dual swords for a much faster barrage of strikes. Those who have managed to slip away from those fights say it was like fighting a typhoon of metal.

Theme
Name: Mairyell Kasio.
Alias: N/A.
Nicknames: Mai, which he only allows his sister to call him. Ahh yes, childhood~
Age: 23.
Species: Human.
Sub Genus: Vampire.
Relations: Rival and traveling companion to Caeldrin ‘The Aurist’
Elder brother of Aeris Naera Kasio.
Appearance: It should be noted that Mairyell's eyes are typically a purplish blue, as his original eye color was blue, but his vampiric one is red, causing an odd mixture of pigments. He also has night vision from his vampiric traits, not to mention that the hungrier, or angrier, he gets, the more red his eyes will become. He stands at around 5'11, making him fairly tall, and he weighs around 160 lbs.
Personality: Mairyell is a cautious person, intelligent, but more instinctually so than anything. He is not intelligent in the intellectual sense, but he is certainly not an idiot either, thus lending him a sort of cunning and wit. He has a sense of humor, but calling it 'good' would be odd, as his demonic affliction has actually broadened the spectrum of hilarity. Thus, he has to be careful not to frighten others by laughing at humans being 'squished' or devoured by rampant monsters. He has a temper, but it is moderate, making it neither short, nor calm in nature. He's very protective of his sister, Aeris, causing him to sometimes smother her a bit with his affection and almost overzealous defense of her.
When it comes to people, he dislikes those who whine, or complain about how bad things are for them. This is mostly because the majority are entirely wrong, I mean, at least they weren't unwillingly turned into a bloodsucking monster. Mairyell is grateful, but not very trusting, disallowing him from easily coming to like or believe in both people and things. In fact, anything with a demonic nature, he strongly abhors, avoids, and distrusts. He finds the 'light' and 'good' of angels rather...annoying, mostly because the world has not seemed to improve one bit since they decided to settle in it. In fact, in many ways it seems worse, but that is just his opinion.
Additionally, Mairyell is rather ashamed of his vampiric nature, and when it comes to his sister he's embarrassed about it. In fact, he often will tell her to look away, or close her eyes when he has to defend her, or feed. Generally this shame comes from an event in their past, as he is exceptionally disappointed in himself for having caused so much pain, even if he was in fact forgiven. Furthermore, Mairyell, at times, feels like he is not entirely alone in his mind, as if there is a divergent personality, or something else, watching his every move. It is not something he has mentioned to anyone, but it becomes apparent that he 'hears' things no one else can, and this typically will make him very paranoid whilst it occurs. Generally though, Mairyell is very calm, trying to keep a cool head, with much composure, so as to comfort his sister in these hard times.
Yet, despite his intense shame and dislike, Mairyell cannot entirely deny his vampiric nature, as much as he wishes he could, and thus he finds himself enjoying bloodshed much more than is natural...for a human. Yes, for despite everything, he still considers himself human at his core, though in all truth this is barely a thread of denial that he hangs onto for dear life. He doesn't want to lose hope that perhaps one day he could be cured, but he isn't so naive, so he figures he'll have to get used to being a bloodsucking fiend. Get used to being a wolf in sheep's clothing. This aspect of himself is probably his biggest vulnerability, other than his intense love for his sister, which some would argue is a bit beyond brotherly, but who knows. Regardless, as mentioned, he is very protective of her, even a bit possessive actually. In fact, it makes him uncomfortable when he is not with her because as far as he knows she could be getting herself into danger without him there to protect her. As such, it can be implied that Mairyell is a worrier, which is actually why he takes pains not to trust anyone, as the more people he cares about, the more he has to worry about and protect. Funny how such a monster is also a very loving person.
Since then, Mairyell and the rest of their small three-person group have traveled here and there, trying to stay alive and well fed, avoiding the ongoing investigation that follows them, with Mairyell suffering from constant nightmares. Of course, he has yet to say anything to either his younger sister or her guardian angel. At this point, the vampire feels like he is being watched to some extent and has become just slightly paranoid.
Vampiric Abilities:
Drastically Enhanced Physical Aptitude: As a human infected by demonic influence, Mairyell's physical strength, stamina, durability, speed, reflexes, and instincts have all been amplified greatly. His vampiric nature causes him to be capable of throwing, or lifting, the equivalent weight of a small car, or at least 4 fully grown humans. It'd be fairly simple for Mairyell to break down brick walls and the like as well. His speed, to a human, is very exceptional, but remains in the area of being physically traceable by the eye, but not by much. His durability, normally, is not too much greater than a human's and it is not as if he could block a sword tip by just standing there. However, when it comes to blunt-type weapons, Mairyell does not take as much damage from them as a human would, not to mention that he does in fact regenerate at a certain rate, allowing him to heal from wounds as long as he has blood to fuel this ability. The less blood he has, the less physically enhanced he will become, this does go the opposite direction when his thirst is sated, but this essentially covers the maximum strength already.
As to Mairyell's senses, well they are essentially enhanced, but it isn't like you could make loud or high pitched noises to mess with his hearing, this is due to the fact that his senses are magically enhanced, not physically enhanced. This magical enhancement is, however, passive, but can weaken when the amount of blood his body holds is lessened. His sense of smell could be compared to that of a bloodhound, except greater, allowing him to track things. In fact, he can actually smell someone's blood through their muscle and flesh, which can be very disconcerting, especially when he describes someone as 'tasty'. His vision, last, but not least, could be described similar to a bird of prey's, allowing him to zoom in either for fine detail, or for enhanced range from afar. He, as a human, does not have to move his head, or cock it to the side, to see better though. Lastly are his reflexes, which simply put, should not be f**ked with.
Beyond this, there are some weaknesses that should be mentioned. For, while Mairyell will not be killed by it, light does weaken his vampiric abilities somewhat, and causes his blood magic to not be as exceptional. Additionally, sunlight will force him to use more blood, as it is essentially constantly regenerating his body when he is exposed to sunlight. Another unique aspect of Mairyell's brand of demonic affliction, is that while most vampires only possesses two 'bloodsucking' teeth, ALL of Mairyell's teeth serve this purpose.
'Blood' Magic: Mairyell, upon becoming vampiric, gained an odd and ironic ability. He refers to this as 'blood' magic, as it deals with the manipulation of blood. This manipulation to be compared to water manipulation, as he is capable of solidifying, liquifying, and turning to vapor, any blood under his control. Of course, for him to control blood, he must either take it into his own body --by way of feeding-- or make physical contact with any blood that has exited a body. This blood magic thus allows him to levitate, and move blood as he wills it. However, the amount of blood he can control depends entirely on how much he can gather. On the other hand, his bloodcore allows him to literally store gallons worth of blood in his body, without bursting. If he wants to control more blood, he has to gather more, or perhaps there is another method through which he can gain more temporarily?
Bloodcore: In the center of his chest, over where his heart is, Mairyell's body sports a ruby-red crystal-like biological structure. This is the primary mutation of his vampiric affliction and is his most fatal weakness, not to mention the cause of his abnormally high metabolic rate. Essentially, Mairyell's bloodcore stores any blood that he ingest, and while it will keep him from dying should he lose the majority of his gathered blood, it also serves as a dangerous weakness. The Bloodcore takes blood directly from Mairyell's body, which is why he is near constantly thirsty to some degree, and why he has to almost constantly devour blood, unless it is his sister's blood which appears to be the closest to his own original human blood and thus will sate him for at least 4 times as long as normal, not to mention amplify his human abilities and strengthen his sanity. If his bloodcore is removed, he will die, if it destroyed he will also die. Essentially, it is his greatest weakness, not to mention that it glows slightly.... Mairyell's bloodcore is intriguing in that it will show the state he is in physically by how brightly, or dimly, it glows. If he were near death, there would be but an ember of redish light at its core, while the rest would be dull and nearly gray. If he is satisfied (aka has gotten his fill by way of feeding) the bloodcore will glow a fierce red, almost like fire.
Bloodlust State: When Mairyell's body runs out of blood, or he becomes enraged, he will enter 'Bloodlust' state. This state, more or less, is caused by intense stress, either of the body or of the mind, and will be triggered also if he is in immense pain or danger. In fact, since it is linked to his mind, and thus emotional state, it can be triggered by fear of loss, specifically losing his sister, who is his only living family and in a sense represents his apparently lost humanity. When entering bloodlust state, Mairyell's bloodcore will release some of its stored blood through his pores. This will coat his skin in the substance, then it will harden like a shell as two bloody wings, and a tail, burst from from his body. His face is almost entirely obscured by the same blood, his eyes becoming burning pits of swirling coagulated crimson, and his mouth almost appearing to shift as small, thin, but strong teeth form. Once this transformation is complete, and believe me it completes rather fast, Mairyell will temporarily lose the majority of his rationale, becoming an animalistic (usually) monster intent on destroying the object of his anger, hatred, or otherwise physical distress. Mairyell DOES in fact remember small amounts of what occurs during his changes into this form, but not everything. It should be noted that as his control of his abilities strengthens and balances out, he may be capable of turning into this state willfully, while retaining his sanity during, but that is far off it seems. Additionally, in this state all physical attributes are peaked and he becomes even faster, making him almost appear to vanish when moving at top speed.
Magical Abilities:
Brisn(Blue energy): A barely active magic inherited from his late mother, Mairyell is capable of manifesting a water-blue energy with properties reminiscent of its elemental color. There are likely other uses for this magic, but at the moment this is all Mairyell knows. He is not yet very capable with this magic. When Mairyell utilizes Brisn, his eyes go from a purplish coloration to a blue one, becoming increasingly lighter blue with every use, or the length of use. After a few minutes, the blue coloration will begin wearing off. This is similar to his use of 'Blood' magic, as that will cause his eyes to redden.
Skills and Learned Abilities
Combat: Mairyell is skilled in both hand-to-hand and general melee combat as he and his sister have had to survive essentially alone for a good couple years. He also has some knowledge regarding magic, which allows him to be wary of spellcasters and their ilk, not to mention demons....

Appearance:
As a shapeshifter, Szayeis has no definite form, shape, or even size, however, the arch demon does have a single trait that never shifts when he does: his eyes. As seen below, Szayeis' eyes are blue and the glow within any dark, no matter how little light there is. However, he can control this 'glowing' not to mention that the eyes themselves have their own effect on people, see 'Skills and Learned Abilities' for further information.
Personality: I can't seem to figure how to describe him for some reason at the moment, however, you will see his personality IC, and I will fill this out eventually.
Biography: Life is a cycle and Szayeis has fallen into the longest and 'final' portion of his. Having died with the correct rituals and been reborn many times, Szayeis is a highly evolved demon. His life has been very eventful, but really nothing to mention in his opinion. He has killed and he has tricked, he has assisted, and betrayed. Evolved and portrayed many persona, masks if you will, to the many who have shared his company. However, in all his time, he has found only several among his demonic brethren and sistren that he considers either equals or amusing individuals. One of these individuals goes by the name of Lily, another highly influential demon, and as of late he has taken an especial interest in the female demon. Last of all it should be noted that Szayeis is a demon of whim, tending to be chaotic, or chimeric, in his activities. He has, in the past, taken on large escapes. Such as the time when he managed to take over an entire library, which he now uses as a base. He has gradually been attempting to take over a variety of other libraries so as to give himself a chain of locales to organize his forces and use as head quarters and the like.
At the moment he is working with Lily, and his own forces. Additionally, he has taken a fancy to a particular group of beings, which he has been toyingwith for quiet some time now. He derives great amusement from this.
[Both angels and demons alike are unsure if Szayeis predates the fall of the gates or not, this is because he is a shapeshifter and his only defining feature is technically his eyes. However, the eyes of Praestrigia have been possessed by every demon, hellion or otherwise, that has ever reigned over the western regions. It is thus difficult to determine if Szayeis is just an incredibly powerful 'surface' demon, or a hellion from before the fall.]
Demonic Abilities:
Enhanced Senses: As a nightwalker class demon, Szayeis has incredible hearing and night vision, not to mention he can see even in the complete absence of light. This is likely due to the fact that the western portion of his home realm and ruling domain is essentially without light at all times. Additionally, Szayeis can focus his vision, zooming in to see details, or zooming out for an incredible 200 degrees of vision. The extra 20 degrees of visual range appears to be an inherent magic of sorts. Last of all, as with his hearing, Szayeis (and any nightwalker) can detect the unique life signatures of others as well as track people through their blood alone. While, like all demons, Szayeis is forced to use blood or some other sacrifice for his magic, Szayeis actually devours or soaks himself in the blood itself to fuel his functions.
Incredible Intellect: Szayeis, unlike the majority of his kind, is incredibly intelligent. While most nightwalkers or cunning and instinctual, Szayeis is this and more. He has amazing memory, amazing perceptiveness and foresight. Not only this, but he is exceptional at planning and even better in the departments of creativity. He is rather difficult to outsmart and learns very fast.
Shapeshifter: Simply put, Szayeis can change his shape. His maximum size depends on how much blood, gore, or otherwise sacrifices have been given to him, or even gathered by his own hands. This makes his potential size utterly immense, however, he has not been viewed as an exceptionally large demon while in the midst of humans. However, it should be noted that Szayeis' eyes never change, no matter how different he becomes, the color and effect of his eyes remains uniquely unaltered. As a master of this ability, Szayeis is capable of utilizing the 'extra' or 'stored' mass within his body to emulate essentially any material. His body is capable of doing this as well, but generally he does not for it takes more energy to do so.
Nightwalker: Unlike humans, angels, or even most demons other than the nightwalker class, Szayeis is not composed of flesh and blood. Rather, Szayeis, and his nightwalker kin, are all composed of pure darkness. This 'darkness' does not make them inherently evil, but it does make them typically unable to take shape in places of intense sunlight or UV radiation. This has led Szayeis and his ilk to being active only during the night time when in the midst of humans and the like. This has also made them apparently invincible in darkness, it also seems that when submerged in an area completely absent of light, a powerful nightwalker is capable of 'adding' the darkness to their mass and actually assimilating it permanently into themselves. This allows them to increase their size relative to how much darkness they have engorged upon. They are capable of traveling through shadows or pitch black areas with ease, not having to move in the physical sense, but being able to effectively transport themselves from one place to another through darkness/shadows.
Additionally, when the illumination of a place decreases, the power of the nightwalker increases. This means that to fight a Nightwalker in a complete absence of light is essentially suicide. On the other hand, Nightwalkers are especially vulnerable to the 'holy aura' of angels, paladins, priests, or clerics. Additionally, magic related to the manipulation of light, lightning, or fire tends to be exceptionally effective in doing their somewhat shady physicality. In fact, it seems that most Nightwalkers are almost completely unaffected by normal human weaponry. However, magical weaponry can have an effect.
Possession: Like most, if not all, demons, Szayeis is capable of possessing the bodies of humans. In Szayeis' case, he must wait for the subject to be led, or in, near complete darkness. As such, Szayeis has his followers keep victims in a variety of locations. Not only that, but when Szayeis possesses something, the effects of his eyes near automatically subjugate the mind therein and turn the body into his. The body does in fact take on his abilities and essentially ceases to be human entirely.
Magical Abilities:
Eyes of Praestrigia: Deception, trickery, and the searing coldness of infernal influence, Szayeis' eyes are unlike any other demon's. However, while there may be similarities no one has exactly this manner of eyes. Essentially, Szayeis has managed to devour enough of his own kin, died and transcended enough times, and been given enough sacrifices that his eyes have altered entirely. It is said that these eyes are 'given' only to the demonic lords of deception, trickery, the game, and manipulation. In essence, these rather special eyes are capable of not only seeing through lies and deceit --though there are some demons who manage to trick him regardless-- they are also capable of a sort of hypnotic effect on those who gaze into them, be it forcefully or otherwise. It should be noted, that gazing into Szayeis' eyes tends to either be an intensely frightening or awe inspiring experience, depending on his intentions. These eyes allow him to cast illusions or the like around himself or within a general area of effect. These illusions can be likened to projections.
Essence Manipulation: This ability is very simple. By locking gazes with the Eyes of Praestrigia and then placing his hand on any part of a being's body --as long as that being is of lesser power than himself-- he can manipulate the essence that makes them up. This process can cause physical, or otherwise, mutations and tends to be extremely painful. Additionally, if he kills a living being, he can manipulate their soul essence. He seems unable to do this to angels, however, demons and humans are easy. He can eat these souls if he wishes to, effectively assimilating them. Conversely, he can merely use this ability to apply his demonic influence to another.
Demonic Influence: Applied through either his eyes or Essence manipulation, Szayeis' demonic influence typically creates vampires, but it can also corrupt a person turning them into a manipulative or destructive individual. Its effects vary really, which is likely due to his high status among his demonic kin.
Skills and Learned Abilities
Szayeis is very very knowledgeable when it comes to both human and angelic psychology. However, he cannot figure out demonic psychology considering the incredible variety of his race. He also has a good knowledge base on the human world, his own domain, and magic in general. His other abilities are combat related, but are not specific enough to mention really.

Azel
Name: Azel
Alias: None
Type: Doppelgänger – he can copy another person’s appearance and mannerisms. He can either mimic the person right in front of him or see the image of a person in another’s mind. Azel can’t read minds but he can see and feel the most significant people who played a role in someone’s life – family members, friends or masters. However all he can see is the image of that person and get a feel for their character, as they are seen through the eyes of the person standing in front of him. The accuracy of the created image depends on the accuracy with which the significant person is remembered. He can’t see the history behind why that person is significant.
Depending on how vivid the image is in someone’s mind he can copy within a minute but the more social contacts the person has, the longer it might take for him to distinguish the exact person he wants to recreate. How many persons he’s able to recreate depends on how long he’s spent in the company of the person he’s “copying” from. If he’s spent enough time with a person to memorize their contacts he can then recreate them even if the person the contact is copied from is not around. His number of shapes he can recreate is limitless when it comes to mirroring a person directly in front of him but from a distance it’s up to three.
Age: 22
Social status: None
Relations: None
Duty: None
Personality: Azel is a mellow character, concerned rather with the small joys of life than grand plans and schemes. He’s good-natured and doesn’t hold any prejudice, happy to give anyone a chance to earn his respect. He generally respects other people’s opinions and life choices, though he still has his own. All this is probably connected to the fact that much like a child he is yet to re-discover the whole complexity of the world around him and remember what he used to be before this fateful night.
Biography: Azel doesn’t remember anything of his past. He recently woke up on the ocean shore dizzy and damaged and the first thing he remembered was his desire to protect his angel master – Laura. Remembering about her existence seemed to be the only thing worth remembering and he was reassured to find her right next to him. However what was left of her was but an empty vessel and the feelings she awoke in him – sadness, happiness and… bitterness.
Azel could remember loving her and he could feel hating her. He is confused by this mix of emotions but intoxicated by them at the same time. She is all he can remember, his only past and apparently, his only present. Now he’s on a quest to figure out what it all means and who he is.

Daiyrisa
Name: Daiyrisa (die-ea-risa)
Alias: The Little Sedusa, Hell's Pyrewine, Sanguine Princess.
Nicknames: Daiy, Dai, Risa
Age: 21/300
Species: Demon
Sub Genus: Hellion
Appearance: Daiyrisa stands roughly 5'1" with waist length pure white hair and dark ruby eyes. With a small frame and limber body, this demoness has the appearance of a 21 year old human female in strangely... Old attire. She usually wears what looks to be a pirate "costume," with a skirt and 3 and 1/2" heeled white boots that reach the tops of her thighs.
Personality: Daiyrisa is arrogant, hateful, spiteful, and loves anything to do with torture. She is generally very rude and obnoxious unless the situation she is in deems her natural personality be hidden. She is an entitled brat, and believes everything in her realm should go her way, and Lucifer help you if it doesn't. She believes her blood is her birthright, damn all those who would say otherwise, and kill those that would dare to stand against her.
Though unabashedly arrogant, there are a few people she does maintain her composure and manners with. The other demon lords. Specifically, though, Szayeis the lord of the west. It's no secret the demoness holds a fondness for the Chimeric Lord, and usually goes out of her way to get in his. Even going so far as to venture onto his realm without proper consent or notice.
This demoness holds herself in the highest of regards. She believes she is a gift to the demons, and that they must fall to their knees wherever she may walk if they are of a lower blood caliber than she. However, that doesn't mean she necessarily rules over her realm with an iron fist, oh no. She delegates all of her duties outside of meeting with the other lords from time to time to her servants. They are to both adhere to her standards, as well as enforce them. And she is always quick to deal out punishment to lowers when she deems it necessary (so, quite often).
Funnily enough, even though she is a demon lord(ess) she often gets bored of her home and ventures up into the surface for a few days to meddle in the lives of humans. Because of this, she always has a guardianship of two of her servants with her at all times while there. She takes to watching any angels she comes across, and though she despises the creatures for their deplorable treatment of her species, she has to admit they are effecient killing machines. They leave no trace while demons are messy and in general, just out for blood. For their killing style, if nothing else, Daiyrisa admires the angels.
Biography: Born the bastard child of the former Southern Lordess and an unknown demon, Daiyrisa was born the youngest of fraternal quadruplet sisters. It was explained to the girls that once they reached a certain age, they would be trained and forced to fight each other for their mother's throne. Because of this, none of the sisters grew close. It's safe to say they didn't have what a human would call a normal childhood. After all, growing up in the southern most region of hell and being groomed to take on a throne or to die doesn't sound all that grand, does it?
However, things were not meant to stay as they were, and in a place where fate was forgotten, it intervened. When Daiy and her sisters reached their cumulative 200th birthday they had already evolved once and it was time for their second. For their second "rebirth," they would be pitted against each other in a fight to the death at least until something happened to Daiyrisa.
As a young demoness, Daiyrisa loved to explore her realm. It was safe to say she was the most curious of all her sisters about where she might be ruling some day. She was the first of the four siblings to meet the wardens. Astrai'l'th. The male demon was silent against the young one's many quandaries, and simply lead her back to her home without the child realizing it. Once there he took her into a meeting with her mother where the other four Wardens appeared. He informed the former Lordess that he sensed a great power within her daughter. This power, he said, was reminiscent to that of the very first matriarch of the southern lands.
Daiyrisa's mother didn't seem too surprised by this news as she had suspected one of her daughters to possess the powers of The Sedusa. Daiy thought it strange, however, and spoke up as to the reason they acted like this was such a big deal. The reply she got was that it usually had to do with the blood of the men that the Southern Queens... Mated with. That's why, no child save for the second heir to the throne--The Sedusa's only heir--was the last to possess similar powers to her mother. Not even Daiy's mother, whom she had seen as all powerful could match the strength to which supposedly was housed inside Daiy's body. Thus, she begot the name The Little Sedusa.
Because of her new standing the fight between siblings never occurred and her sisters faded into obscurity. Daiy became known as a terror of the south, though none of her true potential had awakened yet. She kept her family's secret. She told no one of the power she supposedly held, nor that her mother or family before her did not hold this power. And if she could help it, she would die with this secret.
Recently, Daiy has really been itching to get into the human world. She wants to look for a missing Warden, and she knows that Szayeis is on the surface. Because of this, she plans to leave her realm in the hands of Astrai'l'th, her most trusted... servant.
Abilities:
Heat: Daiyrisa has the ability to control the heat around her body. When she is calm, it is often very cold around her personage, and ice can be seen clinging gingerly to her white hair and eye lashes, falling against her shoulder and back, along with this, her breath always comes out as a fog. When she is upset the temperature rises. The ice around her melts and fire dances at her lips.
Call of the Wild: Daiyrisa is able to call up three beasts from Hell. She can only call one at a time and one has to be sacrificed before the second can come forth, as well as with the third.
Unknown: There are times when Daiy's eyes will glow a bright violet, and her body will gain a light fluorescent purple aura. She is unaware of what this does, or what triggers it. However, she does know that it usually dissipates within a few minutes of appearing.
Creator: Celaira
