Upbringing
Angel children are protected and tutored by their family until they turn thirteen, allowing them to have a life as similar to the humans as possible. When they reach adulthood at thirteen they are assigned to a master, a senior angel of their own type, who teaches them how to utilize their talents.
At the same time the young attend public speeches and classes in the Council building where they learn everything they need to know about both the demonic and human worlds, from an angelic standpoint.
After three years the angels are considered fully matured and become independent soldiers in service of the Gods. From that point on their relation to the Council consists of occasional summonings and private tasks.
One duty all angels have in common is to submit a feather to the Book of Fate every half a year. It is said that the Council then reads upon the angels' actions for that period and use that information to evaluate the loyalty of the particular individual. Anyone who refuses to provide a feather is considered a traitor and will be subject to severe punishment.
